I don't have cable, I use Netflix, Hulu and the network sites to watch the shows I want the next day. Also can usually find a stream of a sporting event or go to a bar if I really want to see it.

i went without cable internet or tv for about 6 months in 2007. i had a laptop with wireless capabilities, but the nearest place i could even sit in the parking lot and pick up a signal was a 30 min drive away. to i got to check my email maybe once a week, if not 2 weeks. it was surprising. i started reading books and taking up new hobbies.i just missed the porn.

I'm thinking about canceling it. It's not worth it. I can download all the shows I want (which is nothing).I pretty much watch espn for football (monday night, sportscenter)and reruns of adult swim shit.HMMMMMM, this thread really got me thinking. This shit is not worth 50$ a month.

I cancelled my cable today, it felt great walking into TWC and turning in my HD DVR."Why are you canceling?""Because your customer service is terrible."[no further conversation]Meanwhile my wooden antenna works great for OTA channels!

This thread has me thinking but i don't think my roommates would be down with canceling the cable. Cable/internet 3 ways is only $30 a piece each month which isn't to bad. If i was by myself i would only have the internet and have to go to the bar to watch my Friday Night Fights.
