The amount of hype surrounding sex is insane.

It's really like Jim in American Pie said, "All you guys talk about is getting laid. I've never even had sex before, and I'm already sick of it. I'm gonna go back in and hang out with that band geek, because she can at least talk about something other than sex." Or something. (quoting american pie for deep philosophy is probably a bad move. I very well could get the same line from the 40 year old virgin - "It's not that I didn't want it, but it just never happened, and eventually I just stopped trying.")

Sure, sex is a lot of fun. But the amount of pressure that a virgin can feel leading up to his first time is immense. And if that virgin is 27 years old, then it would just be insane. I can't imagine the thoughts running through his head. He's gonna suck. The girl's gonna laugh at him. He can't tell her up front because she'd laugh and leave. But if he doesn't tell her, she's gonna laugh at him in bed. And he sure as hell can't ask any of his guy friends for advice, because they'll mock him until he puts a gun in his fucking mouth. Starting at 12 years old, all you ever hear about is how sex is so damn important and so damn life changing. I was fucking terrified the first few times I was ever with a girl (and I really, really sucked at it).

At the end of the day, all sex is is getting your dick wet for a few minutes and then having a funny tickling sensation on your wiener.

With guys, there's always the "performance" issue. If a girl's a virgin, sure she's all nervous and a little awkward, but that's not big deal. Some experienced guys would probably find that really cute.
If a guy's a virgin, he's all nervous and awkward and then blows his load after 15 seconds. I doubt any experienced girls would ever find that cute (at least, that's what a guy's opinion is).
