^ lol, the defender was Mark Schulte, the captain and the only player to play every single minute of every game this year... he's kind of annoying to me and last night was not a very good game for him. His gloves were for his SUPER AWESOME LONG THROW INS that they hype up all the damn time like we're in rec league again and he does those queer ass flip throws (although it did lead to Glinton's goal in extra time). No idea why he's taking our 5th PK though... pretty retarded to me

yeah, definitely not $1

I haven't bought one in a while because it seems like all they have when I want one is Michelob and they stopped selling Newcastle... but I think they're $5

They did last night. It wasn't really a full cup of beer, but I mean 1.5 beers for $2 is still a pretty good deal.

I noticed Wake Med is hosting an international friendly the 28th.

Do these things sell out?

What are the chances of arriving at game time for a ticket? I'd buy one in advance, but I can't guarantee I'll be in town.

RailHawks play the Puerto Rico Islanders tonight... who are 2nd place in the league, we're 3rd. It should be a pretty good game and it looks like decent weather tonight.

I might be there, but I told my friends I would go to Downtown Live with them, if they want to go. I hope they change their minds.

Railhawks 2 Estudiantes Tecos 1.

I was hit by beer cans everytime I ran through the crowd with my yellow card, or a flag. I was also hit with beer when I showed the guy with the Mexican flag my red card. Those people are stupid because that beer isn't cheap out there.

Oh and a drunk Mexican wondered onto the field for no reason at all and just stood there. The cops took him away. Then right after that Tecos scored to tie the game and then when the Railhawks scored the game winner after that, both teams and security worked together to clean all of the bottles and cans off the field. It was a fun atmosphere.

jesus christ dude, you're the reason local people don't enjoy soccer. Who wants some dickhead running around the stands acting like an asshole? I'd have aimed for you too. Crowd behavior doesn't translate to Raleigh, this isn't Madrid.

^The 99% Mexican crowd only threw things at Railhawks fans when they waved their flags. The Mexicans also threw things on the field when the Railhawks scored. The crowd cheered everytime the guy with the Mexican flag, or Club America flag ran through the stands. It was a mini Estadio Azteca last night in Cary.

btw, Aaron King is now a Railhawk. They must have just signed him.

like I said in the other thread, if you saw Jimmy McFatass walking around double fisting in a yellow New Mexico shirt, you saw me.

That guy being sent off really rattled them, but it still shouldn't have been that bad. There have been plenty of times that a team has a man sent off and loses by 2, or less goals and sometimes even ties, or wins.

^to piggy back off of

He was sent off at 1-0, there's no fucking excuse for 9-0 to happen.

^No there isn't because even the 4th place CONCACAF team showed in the 2006 World Cup that they could hang with Sweden when down a man. The same goes for the USA when they played Italy in 2006.

b4c, thanks for the soccer history lesson again...

Those of you that came out to your first game... how'd you like it? Other than seeing 9 goals of course.. I've always wondered why there weren't more college/young professional people at games.

I'd really like to see the crowd get younger and less family oriented... so I think they should have $1 or $2 beer every night. I also think a permanent college discount would help, it doesn't have to be $5 but a couple of dollars off would probably make a difference.

^Yeh, the hurricanes used to give dicounts to people with valid military and student ID's at the gate. Now they cut back to college night being once a month. I wish the railhawks would do that. They already give TSF members discounts for every game.
