I lose weight when I'm in a relationship, but it's because I don't have as much time for working out, so I lose muscle mass.A lot of girls gain weight because they eat the same things/portion sizes as their significant others, which is a mistake.Regardless, if a girl has no concept of nutrition and fitness, then she'll eventually get fat. The age varies from girl to girl.

^^ I agree with you and disagree with you. Women due tend to gain a lot of weight after they've met the man they plan on marrying. This happens because they no longer feel the pressure to be thin. Now, with that being said they do typically take on these wedding diets but that is only to look thin for the day many people will see them and does not reflect how their weight will be long term. These girls will gain the weight back seeing that the motivation of a wedding is gone and will proceed to gain weight instead of losing weight. I, too, have attended many a wedding and seen women get thinner over the year but it is typically back to a weight they were at when I first met them when college ended. I have also seen women 2 - 3 years after marriage and they do tend to blow up.^Squirt men do not gain as much weight as women, and definitely not proportionately. Eventually men put on the pounds, typically mid-30s, but women do it immediately following I do, which to me is worse.

none of these rules applies to me. of course i'm not married nor have i had a baby. so maybe i will balloon then.my weight has stayed pretty consistent during my 3+ year relationship. maybe that means i'm not with the guy i want to marry! oh noes!

although i dont' use the qualifier some in all my statements which appear blanket that is how I am addressing it, personally. while will concede that my belief is most women fit into that category i by no means feel all do.however, in general, i think most women look for the period where they can eat what they want and not have to focus on a healthy diet because they feel its 'so hard' and as a group have a smaller appreciation for delayed gratification and other issues of sacrifice. ultimately, its this lacking ethos which allows them to rationalize that taking the easy way out is okay for them.

This is dumb... it obviously varies with every girl (eating habits, workout habits, genes, etc).No female in my family is even a little bit overweight. Not my sister who just turned 30 or my Mom who just turned 55. My girlfriend was really skinny when I met her, she gained a little weight about 2 years in (but what I like to call "good weight") and now she is pretty skinny again (she's 26 now).

My girlfriend (of almost 2 years) is probably within 5 lbs. of when we started dating. I, on the other hand, am + almost 20.

Turning 30 has been good to me too. Just yesterday I put on some jeans from freshman year at NCSU to wear while I did some boat work. I couldn't have worn them 6 months ago. Now I have to get to "pre-freshman 25" jean size (aka senior year in high school).
