You should never have to pay more than $25 for a pair of jeans. Any pair of jeans.

"Uh, no my insulin pump was made in Minnesota and I would only be paying $700 out of pocket for the thing. "

OK now you just confusing me. First you said $7,000, now $700. Which one? If it is $7,000, that's the biggest rip off in the world. But now that I think about it, $700 makes more sense. Still expensive, but nothing crazy like $7,000. I suggested getting it from abroad because you said $7,000.

And where do you think insulin pumps in Asian/Arab countries are made in? Of course Minnesota or [insert any white people's country here]. It is the same equipment and meds all over the world... just that in some countries they cost an arm and a leg, and in some countries, pennies, even though they are made by the same companies. Some stupid laws at work, I guess. Case in point: A pack of Panadol brand (made in UK) paracetamol here in Saudi is $2, but the same thing in the UK costs $5, just in a fancier flashier packaging.

If anyone is paying that much for eyeglasses, then they deserve to, and have no right to whine about the cost.

VERY TRUE! We had to replace ours recently and it would have been $80 if we bought them new. Went to the refill place and got them for $30.

yeah i think it's just thursdays, but i remember it's being relatively cheap on normal nights too.

It's pretty shitty that I haven't made it out to a game since i moved to durham a year ago.

Yeah, we have a Thirsty Thursdays here too where certain beer is only $1.

But it's $6 every other night.

And our team is only single A. I might not be as upset to pay $6 for a beer at a Bulls game.

I have not been to a starbucks where that order would equal that total. Maybe 5 or 6. Most of the dessert stuff is less than $2.

11? That's your fault.

He lives in the middle east, and I think his wife and kid might live in the UK. So between those two areas and the less than favorable exchange rates, that probably explains the higher prices.

Cheesecake slice is $2? Chocolate cake slice is $2? Tiramisu square is $2? Seriously? I can't believe that.

They cost $4.50 to $6. Perhaps you thought I was talking about cookies/muffins/etc. I had an Almond Croquant slice, which looks likes a Swiss roll, and it was $6. Hot blended coffee drinks are a standard min of $4 for the Tall (smallest) size.

I doubt they are cheaper in the US. And if they are, it is not possible that they are half the price as you are saying.

Real orange juice. On sale, a premium brand gallon of orange juice is about $5.98. You can get 2 gallons of milk for that.
