Well in pretty much every movie with invisibility, IR detectors make their way into things pretty quickly. I'd say you can't avoid that. Just like flight can't avoid being sucked into a jet engine

I'm pretty sure Mythbusters said you could beat IR detector by holding a blanket. Considering you can turn other object you're holding invisible, then that'd be an easy way to beat it.

I'd take telekinesis. That is a lot more versatile then both of them. Depending on how well you could handle it and how skilled of a telekinetic, you could achieve some form of flight and invisibility, as well as a whole bunch of other shit.

i think that was actually the detector that used a really high-pitched frequency and detected changes in the reflected wave pattern. you could also beat this one by walking very slowly.

I'm assuming that you could only fly as fast one can reasonably sustain forces currently (ie, no superfast acceleration, no 200mph+, no high altitudes because of thin air, etc)

unless being invisible means you don't take up any space or have mass, it would probably get you noticed or killed inadvertently. you couldn't just sneak onto a plane without someone bumping into you or better yet getting the door slammed in your face. therefore invisibility would only be good if light AND objects could pass through you. but in that case you could also pass through objects, which sounds like more than just "invisibility"

so i choose flight, depending on things like max speed/distance/altitude/carrying weight
