Exactly. Although Dead Like Me was one hour long. There was enough DLM material to go another 1-2 quality seasons. I was super pissed off when that was cancelled. as well as Deadwood and Carnivale.

yeah, that was pretty good.

But.... as with the past few seasons, Nancy's behavior is just completely erratic and doesn't make sense..... they obviously just completely toy with her emotional state every week to make the story more fucked up - she loves Esteban, she hates him, she's into Andy, she thinks he's disgusting, she's taking the baby, she's giving him to Esteban, etc etc

exactly. there is no longer any consistency. i appreciate the show for what it was and will hold it fondly. but right now i'm viewing this as a relationship where we were once lovers and best friends but now we're drifting slowly apart with the other person not being so much as a shadow of their former self.

they're even making me disconnect with shane, which is hard because he was a pretty good character up until midway through last season.

sadly i will continue to watch it and have now become the assholes in the office and lost threads who shit on the show yet continue to watch it every week.

my only reserve is that i'm watching the show out of hope it'll snap back into its former glory. this being the anticipated final season i thought that it may but now that i know there is a sixth season scheduled i can admit to myself they're going to let this show fade away instead of burn out.

i don't feel as if we've gotten any where this season. 1 and 2 were great so they definitely had direction, but even 3 and 4 had some sort of direction and you could tell that the finale was about to happen. much to the contrary with this season. when i saw next week was the season finale i was confused since i feel there has been no story progression (good or bad) of which to speak.
