^when are you exchanging your awesome fast car for that minivan now that you have a kid and all [Edited on June 20, 2009 at 8:49 PM. Reason : ..]

my wife bought her car because it's well built and comfortable to drive. It is far fom a high performance vehicle. It's not even close to as quick or agile as the WRX I used to drive when it was in stock form.[Edited on June 20, 2009 at 8:55 PM. Reason : the cars you posted understeer just as bad as her accord though.]

I, too, rather enjoy the sound of a revvy inline 4.I prefer the exhaust be relatively quiet at low RPM and low throttle, though. It should only sound like it's trying to make power when it is (trying) Inline 6's are confusingly smooth. Some part of me expects more vibration from an engine under load. If I owned a car with an inline 6 I might have to open the exhaust up or something to regain some of that feedback The fact that most Hondas are FWD is worlds more annoying than being inline-4. Torque steer is lame.[Edited on June 20, 2009 at 8:57 PM. Reason : .]

^Inline 6's are naturally balanced; the only motor setup that does so (also inline 12s, 18s, etc)All the forces cancel out. Hence the super-smoothness. Its a shame there's not more of them...

^ that would count as two inline 6's
6/21/2009 9:50:26 AM
correct, along with the inline 12s and 18s (which you essentially never see, due to them being prohibitively long). he just forgot to mention the obvious other configuration besides I-6.
6/21/2009 10:00:01 AM
that has to be the worst looking dash design i have ever seenmy eyes are still hurting
6/21/2009 10:10:13 AM
yeah that dash causes ADD.torque steer is god awful with 270hp and >210 ftlbs of torque. boy does it make a 2000lb car move though!
6/21/2009 10:22:50 AM
i'm really glad honda finally started to realize how much inherent performance red R's give a car. like many ricers before them, honda finally realized that two Rs > a single R

^ well, there are only 2 possible scenarios under which i would get a minivan:1) i start liking minivans, and get one even though there isn't a need. NEVER HAPPENING.2) there is a need to get one. also never happening because we plan to have just 2 children, and i don't see the need of a minivan for 2 children. if i needed more space, i would rather get a nice hot swedish or german station wagon. or maybe an suv, even though i am not a fan of them. but a minivan? i would get a truck before i got a minivan!
