I wonder what time they're finishing up their match

they were in a 5th set 6-6 and play was suspended due to darkness

i might be going for murray the entire tournament, the brits really deserve to finally break that streak, fed can break the record at the us open since he owns that tournament anyways

The problem with Murray is that his matches are boring as fuck to watch. All he does make simple returns and waits for his opponent to get frustrated and make an error. Such a bland style of tennis. I'd like to see him play more aggressively and go for more winners.

^ yeah, i get really frustrated watching him, so often he lets balls go and saves his energy. It's good for these matches, but deep in the tourney it might hurt him.

did you watch his matches at last year's wimbledon? anything but boring. i think it was the match against gasquet that was nuts (murray came from two sets down i believe).

Man, if Fed keeps getting almost 70% of his first serves in, no one is going to beat him.

haas is playing really well. he played well at the french too. i hope his and fed's match is somewhat decent. should be a good semi-finals regardless who comes out of the roddick/hewitt match.

"Overheard: "I think they are both playing super well," the sisters' father, Richard Williams, said. "They're playing the Williams way. And when you're playing the Williams way, it's very difficult for anyone to touch you."

Asked what she does with all her tennis trophies, Serena Williams replied: "I use some of my trophies for makeup brushes. Maybe (someday) I'll just take a step back, ... take all the makeup brushes out and really appreciate every title.""

still I think this is one of the most boring women's tournys in a while, at least on the men's side there is the huge murray drama

I'd absolutely love to see Roddick pull it all out

but what are the chances of that, 7% or so?

this andy v andy match should be really good.

they're talking now about how roddick is statistically best in nearly all serving categories whereas similar is true for murray and returning.

reminiscent of those classic sampras/agassi matches.

when the four semifinal spots were decided a couple days ago i was really happy. i would be satisfied with any one of those 4 winning. and each one if they had won would have a good story (haas being old and coming off so many injuries, roddick back into the form he had 6 or 7 years ago, federer winning his 15th or murray finally bringing one home for the british). i'm just glad that the tennis has been as good as the storylines on the men's side.

the women's side isn't quite as interesting, but that serena dementieva match was very good.

the safina match was about the worst i've ever seen in a semi (especially for a world number 1)

You really gotta admire Roddick. The guy has obvious short comings in his game, but he's made the absolute most of what he's got. If not for having played in the same era as the GOAT, he'd have already won Wimbledon a couple times and probably another US Open. I don't really think he has a chance on Sunday, but if he can serve like he did today and maybe force a couple tiebreaks, who knows. I'll definitely be rooting for him.
