what we need to do is forget about race when making any decisions or living our life, yes it is great to remember your heritage but all of these ideas of affirmative action and other racist programs are ridiculous

i think i understand it now.......since people were racist in the past we should institute programs that are racist, this makes a lot of sense and solves all of our programs

In all likelihood, Africa would be almost the same with or without "European exploitation." They were hunter/gatherers. That kind of a society usually doesn't have time for serious advancement, as its members are invariably out hunting and gathering.

so.... you're saying that Africa is still largely made up of hunter/gatherers?

While they may not have been blowing each other away with AK47's in civil wars within the country created by artificial boundaries; I am sure as far as "overall advancement" sub-Saharan Africa would be way way behind. The coastal regions would be more modern but the interior of Africa would contain a lot more of the primitive hunter gather societies. I guess this could be up to interpretation and opinion if this could be considered "better off" and would depend on your reference point.

There were many advanced ancient civilizations in Africa. Don't forget about how virtually all resources including the human resources were completely removed. So much more on both ends...

Compensation for the knowledge lacked will be well worth the 8 bucks...

AFRICA IN ITS PRE-COLONIAL PRIME

Advanced African Military Weapons

Good thing Europe conqured Africa before they developed into a powerhouse of strong economically and militarily build nations in the 21st century.

Need I really step in to remind you all that King T'Challa of Wakanda has sat on immense vibranium deposits for years? He has not only enriched himself and his nation but has developed fantastically advanced weaponry and surveillance technology, and he has shared precious little of those scientific discoveries with the international community.

And the sickening thing is that people have been writing about this state of affairs since 1966, yet it hasn't penetrated the public's ignorance!

youre right, noone should ever apologize for allowing people to do this to innocent people:

it's much more important to respect state's rights (to allow their citizens to enslave or murder black people).
