I guess what hooksaw is trying to say is white people can't get merit scholarships to HBCUs, only minority scholarships right!? That type of backwards retard thinking is why hooksaws at NCSU think all black people there are on minority scholarships.

I have to believe the Law school is a radically different environment. I don't know for sure, but it just has to be. They have a reasonable percentage of people who pass the Bar after graduation. If there were an equivalent for undergrads, that most certainly would not be the case. The building is on a corner of campus away from most other things, and just doesn't have to deal with the issues that come with dorms full of hoodlums nearby. The Law library was extremely helpful, and the staff was excellent when I needed help with research on a few things. I can't say that about the staff of any other building or department, but the Law school did me right.

^^ I know NCCU has a decent law school, and I know their undergrad sucks - I just never heard of any professor anywhere ignorant enough to talk about "black math" and "white math"

And that's in the business school, where department heads and deans are like that. Lord help you if you ever wander into a humanities class.

terpball i took him to mean that since the professor made allegations of racism the only way that could be true is if there was a race based disparity, which could not be the case since it was math. i think white math vs. black math was then mentioned to highlight the absurdity of the event and not that the professor actually said something of that extent.however, i could be mistaken in my interpretation.

Well, I thought he literally said that was what he was saying, because he said "I am not kidding" afterwards. But who cares, we were pretty much on the same page, and I only said I only heard of these scholarships, and didn't know anyone who got them. Maybe because none of my white friends applied for them? But according to hooksaw, that means I didn't think that they existed... because he's an idiot.

^^^ Yeah, I'm a great big poopyhead. Way to go!My point was that you didn't exert the least amount of effort--because you're lazy or didn't want to know the truth or both--to discover that white people do get minority scholarships at HBCUs. It's quite simple.[Edited on June 25, 2009 at 11:49 AM. Reason : ^]

Not that I know of. In the labs, the only social networking (actually, the only computing) I saw going on was myspace and Yahoo! Chatrooms, both visited in pursuit of booty.
