I overlooked the sports bar thing because we got talking about apps and being cheap and whatnot. Point taken.

I do not think that all young professionals are douchebags. I do, however, think that most young professionals who hang out on Glenwood are douchebags. Tobacco Road is one of the establishments that is aimed toward those less desirable folk.

4-7 on weekdays /= 4-6 AND 11-2

it has been waaaaay more hoity toity the times i have been in there than any time i have been in tobacco rd.

and then there's the stares you get for not being gay and hangin out there. It wasn't the people working there they have always been nice, just more so the clientele and there "what are you doing hanging out in our place?" looks.

I've never experienced the looks you are speaking of by anyone who was a regular there.

Not saying it didn't happen, but it was probably some idiots who roll in once a month and want to flame it up.

Plus it's hard to be hoity-toity when you walk in and the bartender is hula-hooping while wearing moon shoes and says, "I'll be with you guys in a minute. And by in a minute I mean when I get tired."

Though Tobacco Road looks more like a Best Buy.

Amra's has its fair share of douche bags, mostly during the weekend. Even then, I don't think its that bad. There's a lot of cougars. During the week though, it's a pretty chill place. The bartenders are cool too.

I think Tobacco Road has 33 TVs around, so yeah I can see the Best Buy thing. I'm just glad they're all actually in HD when they can be. I hate going to a place with HD TVs and they don't even have HD service.

I really love this place, me and my boyfriend go a lot when we eat dinner real late (after 11 many entrees are 2 or 3 dollars with a drink and come with sides) its non smoking and i dont particularly think its full of douchbags. I like to go to the borough too their hush puppies are sooo good but sometimes its quite smoky.

what's good to eat there? i went there for the first time the other day and got some sliders with a side of mac and cheese. the mac and cheese was really good, but the pulled pork slider and hamburger slider were dry as hell. i needed three glasses of water just to choke them down.

my friend got the buffalo chicken sand and that thing was freaking monstrous.

The slider burgers have always been awesome when I get them, but it's usually during a busier time though and not so late.

The buffalo chicken sandwich is huge and tasty.

I got ribs there back during the Fiesta Bowl and had a good time with my brother. I believe we had wings as an app and then I had the ribs and grits(really good)...and of course a good mix of beers.
