i support this...i'm overweight, technically, but certainly not by any amount that would make flying uncomfortable for myself or others

i do, however, have broad shoulders, which means that, while my waist/ass/stomach doesn't interfere with others, if someone that doesn't have a slim frame is sitting next to me, we're usually shoulder to shoulder

I think they should make a compression sack that you could put around them so they don't cross the plane of the armrest. If that doesn't work then they should have to pay for a bigger seat in business class or something.
