I need to stop taking trade route advice from eve-central. This is the second time I've had 80% of my cash tied up in sell orders because I acted on old information. I need that cash to buy a battlecruiser damnit!

^ The problem for me is that I've been burned twice by old data. I hate showing up after 16 jumps with a cargo hold full of stuff I don't have a use for just to find out the the buy order eve-central told me should be there was fulfilled 3 hours previously. Then I have to figure out where to dump the loot so that I recoup my investment.

Dunno if youve seen yet but whats your opinions on the extended downtime next week for server moves?

All the IT ppl Ive talked to think this is gonna take a lot longer than they are planning, like a day or so, maybe 2.

^ def recco EFT and EVEMon. I also use a few other tools, one for pos fits. Ill have to find links for them. One of my alliance mates made a simple PI tool but its not that good, i need to find a better one. Lots of spreadsheets also for tracking POS setups and PI.

Yea it would be cool, usually you can pretty much figure out what they are running based on animations and tactics, and the DEVs usually report the values of the flag ships. I bet if you head over to the alliance tourney sub-forum you could find some info there.

All the flagships had their loadouts released and posted on the forums. I haven't seen anything about the loadouts of the other ships. I'd really like to know what teams are putting in their mid and low slots.

Now im stuck with PI. Ran out of planets to use. Have to wait for interplanetary consolidation to train up for 3 days before I get another one. After that I think I should be able to start some lv 4 processing.

In meantime, Im rebuilding one of my fave t1 setups for some fleet action. I hate doing fleets as I know Imma lose whatever Im flying, so I normally go cheep. No losing BS's for me.
That and finish fitting my stealth bomber so I can learn how to fly it properly.

i think i want to set up some planet stuff, do they cost charters and shit like POS's do? or? what's the deal there?

^ No theres no charters.

You need to train the skills for it, then get the command center, find a planet, and plop it down. From there, you can build whatever your command center allows, and it costs money to build each thing. Once installed though, there is no upkeep cost, you just need to manage the extractors. Check out CCPs youtube tutorial, its very helpful.

For me, the PI return isn't worth the investment or the time. There's just not a lot of money to be made by doing it. I'll make more casually doing missions or AFK mining in high-sec.

It will be when people need to make pos fuel out of it. That and you can save a lot of money if you own a pos making your own fuel.

I'm actually kinda glad I reactived my account, and i just re-upped for another month. I've been working on lvl 1 and 2 missions for brutor tribe and republic fleet, but now I'm trying to figure out which corp to work on next. Still a few weeks away from having the skills to be comfortable in a BC. Anyone have any suggestions?

if you ever plan on doing manufacturing, i would start working on a corp with an R&D division.

Otherwise, it doesnt really matter, though i tend to stick to the larger, more military oriented ones.

I'm in a small corp with some friends. We don't do anything and I mainly run missions by myself.

Are their any ways to raise your standings without pissing off other factions? I just realized that I'm about a week or two a mission running away from hitting shoot-on-sight status (-5.0) with the Minmatar and the Gallente.

Get diplomacy, I got it automactically when I created my character and so far its been keeping the Caldari off my back. Im actually over -5 with them but it shows -3. I'm pretty sure there might be another skill that affects faction standing.

I've finally got my standings so that I can run level 3 missions. They pay so much better than level 1 or level 2 missions.
