Yea, it's lame that they aren't simply giving keys to anyone who asks. I don't really understand their reasoning there.

However, there's gotta be easy keys all over the place. Why? Because every little WoW-kin is on there now, spouting the same old spam in the public channel. Chuck norris this, leeroy jenkins that, lets pretend to link Thunderfury a thousand times. It's 100% different atmosphere than closed beta, so something must be different.

Also, the number of servers for the open beta practicaly doubled and login authentication was overloaded for the first 24 hours.

enjoying it so far. levels 1-10 are very linear, and then it branches out dramatically. That in a way is kind of nice because then you have the feel for it.

flight takes some time to get used to, but is fun.

lovin the amount that you can customize your characters.

its a little intimidating at once, lvl 1-10 i would take on like 4 or 5 quests at a time and now ive got like 20

It's odd but when playing Aion my Google Chrome install will not open any websites. If I close out of Aion it works just fine....

FilePlanet has opened up beta keys for everyone now

they say that they purposely wanted to make sure everyone didnt get on the first day of open beta and that they wanted to throttle the amount of people in stages to prepare their server, makes sense i guess

either way, im done with the beta, i learned what i wanted and i will be playing come launch.
ill start out with a chanter with alchemy/cooking. I like to solo alot but obviously you have to group occasionally so lets start thinking of what server people are going to use. I'm on Israphel now.

i tried cleric at first, but im gonna solo alot more so im gonna go with chanter. def chanter.

also ive found it helps to grind to about LVL 7 or 8 right away fighting creatures 2 levels above you at all times, should take a few hours, but then you absolutely blow right through the quests on your initial region and you get to ascend in a few more hours.

eh its just like wow. Always pickup everything that drops and you'll always have money. Random things happen to sell for like 300 each and drop off every mob. This game is pretty addicting i didn't realize that i was playing for so long till it said like 2 hours had past. I'd forgotten how retarded people are in mmorpgs since i quit wow.

Aion uses Gameguard, like every other Asian MMO. 99% chance that is what is causing it.

I played chinese retail and it was okay, probably since I didn't speak the language. Leveling up your crafting skills by time you get to 25 is really worth it as you can then craft decent armor at that point.

if I do get the game though, I'll probably just afk exp with a macro and a clicker.

so i havent played much MMO since WoW launch but how exactly do you macro anything other than gathering?

do you just count how many seconds it takes to stand in one place and respawn a certain mob and then tell it to do a ranged/melee attack + heal combination + rest + repeat ad naseum?

can we get a vote on the official TWW Aion Server.

For time zone purposes we should choose East obviously and these are in order of popularity going by the forums

Marchutan - very low pop

Israphel - where I did OB, always went down, also the unofffical South American server lol

Azphel - where everyone from Israphel went after the Brazilians joined, lol

Lumiel - mainly PvE, Roleplayers

Triniel - second largest population, heavy on Asmodians, actually sound like a bunch of crybabies though on the forums

Zikel - largest pop, Hardcore PvP server

also i plan on going Asmodian, my personal preference would be Azphel or Lumiel because I don't feel like dealing with large amounts of people camping/griefing like I imagine the larger ones will have, especially at first

How do you know what the population is going to be? No characters even exist yet. Plus, population is rarely a concern when you have 10 channels to choose from. During the beta, Israphel was the highest populated server, and still we were able to farm the Tursin bosses uninterrupted for hours.

Zikel IMO. Guild betad in Israphel, but we'll be starting on Zikel. We've mapped out our entire leveling schedule from 1-30 and 7 guys are taking off the the 20th&21st to power-level and get the guild to Tier 3 ASAP.

well i said i was only going by the forums, and its really only an issue at launch

a lot has happened in the last week as far as the RP/Oceanic/PvE/HardcorePVP legions choosing their respective servers, which didnt matter much in Beta

Zikel is going to blow this first week because its got the largest amount of hardcore legions claiming it home and everyone is going to be doing everything at the exact same time ensuring that some camping is going to happen

i realize that's alot of money but that's a set price upfront for what could be MUCH more over time of my gathering/loot and by expanding my space you'd be making your profit faster

i'm literally going to grind/gather as much as I can, literally until I feel like not playing anymore and then start crafting, then quest AND repeat
im more of a social player than a combat/pvp so im not obsessed with the gear
