There's also a long, black tube dress from Vickie's.

Or my tight Lucky jeans with a dressy black tank and wedge heels.

Not too small. I'm 5'7" and wear from a 0 to a 4 depending on the brand.

The average american woman is a size 14. If you think a 0-4 and 5'7 isn't TINY then you have a skewed view of sizes.

I LOVE jeans bc they're so comfy, but I'm in Florida, thus I tend to gravitate toward dresses in the summer.

Especially because I may get nervous and start sweating. So, little black dress it is!

Average woman is 5'4. I don't think 5'7 is that much bigger but perhaps that is because I am 5'6 and I see myself as pretty average height.

I never feel tiny bc most of my friends in Florida are about 5 foot even. And they shop in the kids' department.

The girls in Raleigh seem taller on average, somehow.

the average american woman, much like the average american man, is also fat. if you took out all the severely overweight people your number would prob come down. lucy may still qualify as "teeny" (although 5'7" is pretty average for a woman, too right, and w/out the data skewing) but it doesnt seem that being significantly below the american average is enough evidence for that.

for example, i am 6'4 and very ectomorph in most cases, but i go through long lazy phases and generally dont eat all that well (although, again, compared to the average american i'm a health nut) which has resulted in a permanent pot belly (better now than it used to be, havent been in a lazy phase in a while) but b/c i'm not a giant, i cant describe myself as fat and people are surprised when i am doing cardio and saying i want to lose weight. i should have the right to call myself fat w/out being compared to 500 lbers!

And I do think vanity sizing makes it difficult for us to accurately describe clothing sizes.

If you want to argue that point, look at the BMI. Someone who is 5'7 should weigh at a minimum 120 lbs. A size zero can be anywhere from a 90 to a 105 lb person, depending on the brand. She said she was a size 0-4...A size 4 on average weighs between 115-125 lbs.

So even with that arguement, she's on the lesser side of a healthy range and upper side of underweight. It has nothing to do with fatties skewing the average upward....but in a room of "normal fat people" lucyinthesky would be tiny. No one said it was a bad thing. Stop trying to create drama.

People are fat. People are unhealthy. They will get sick and die and you will pay their medical bills. By the way, incase noone clued us in, life sucks.

^^^^^^ And BMI is a guideline, but it's not a true indicator of health. Body fat percentage is a better indicator. I'm 15.5%(measured yesterday by my trainer), which is low for a girl, but it's still very healthy. I just play a lot of sports.
