This was our photographer, Tina Loebach.

http://loebachstudios.com/index2.php?v=v1

We meet her at a bridal show at the fairgrounds. Her prices were affordable (we were on a 10k budget) and we liked her photographs.

Throughout the whole process of planning the photography, she was great and easy to work with. At our wedding, she was laid back and fun and we got some great shots. Overall, we were very pleased with her work and I would recommend her to anyone.

BTW, if you see any of the photos on her site that look like the JC arboretum or with butterflies, thats from our wedding.

looking back, i wish i had.

i was just on auto-pilot at one point and it was like, i don't care how much it costs, i want a beautiful wedding!!!!!

and it took a year to pay off the wedding debt, making me realize how much i wish we'd taken the $10k and flown a few friends and family out to Vegas for a few days

....we already had a house.

$3k of that figure was our baller honeymoon in Cancun for a week. but still, way too much cashola. weddings are totally overrated. i don't even remember half the night cuz it went by so fast and there were so many people to talk to. srsly, take my advice brides-to-be, don't go for the lavish event bc it'll be over before you know it!

I'm gettin' murried on Fripp Island, SC . we are gong to rent two huge beach houses on the ocean to house family/friends. It's gonna be on the beach with a grill on the deck and music. No catering k thx. Then we will stay for the rest of the week and family can either stay or go, the more the merrier!

Because of the houses I think it will be close to 10k. Also, I will spend money on a good photographer if I don't have a close friend I can trust in the business by that point.

10k was our total wedding budget.

and if you think that is a lot of money, consider the average wedding in the triangle is 20k. And if you knew anything about how much companies upcharge anything (deejay, flowers, etc.) as soon as you say "wedding", you'd think 10k is a bargain.

^that was my argument with my dad. i told him 10k was enough for a venue and catering, and that's about it. he wouldn't budge. which is why we took on so much debt.

of course in retrospect, like i said...i shoulda taken the 10k and gone to vegas.

it would include an intimate session with the photographer on your wedding night.

ya know, for the more candid shots.

$2k for the wedding on the beach, everything included. And it was good. Sure it would have been fun to have a deejay and a big after party. But I think we're enjoying the new lexus more

To each their own. I sure as hell hope that your wedding day is the BEST day in your ENTIRE life if you are spending $texas on it.

$20k on a wedding? I wish I made enough bank to justify that.

don't get me wrong, mine was great! but for the amount of money we spent, it really made me wish after the fact that i'd done it differently.

Another Recommendation:
Eric Honeycutt is pretty awesome too...

http://vegablue.com/

i've worked with him once and he's real easy going and nice.
he's quite the perfectionist too

LOL

Also, I don't think anything posted so far is stellar. Some of it is just good, but a lot of it is mediocre-at-best. I'll agree that it looks like a bunch of these people went and bought a 20D, read the first few google results for "principles of photography" and learned how to desaturate and bump contrast in photoshop.

Some are good, but I haven't been inspired yet. They all look the same. And I am REALLY fucking sick of this shit.

Yeah why did the photographer decide to make the yellow stripes stand out out of everything in that pic? Very distracting..............

And Ronny instead of tearing this thread to shit why don't you make a few recommendations?

never understood the fascination with selective color but some people just seem to looooooooove it.

the first wedding i shoot will be entirely tilt shift and selective color
