Nice Guy Eddie: C'mon, throw in a buck!Mr. Pink: Uh-uh, I don't tip.Nice Guy Eddie: You don't tip?Mr. Pink: Nah, I don't believe in it.Nice Guy Eddie: You don't believe in tipping?Mr. Blue: You know what these chicks make? They make shit.Mr. Pink: Don't give me that. She don't make enough money that she can quit.Nice Guy Eddie: I don't even know a fucking Jew who'd have the balls to say that. Let me get this straight: you don't ever tip?Mr. Pink: I don't tip because society says I have to. All right, if someone deserves a tip, if they really put forth an effort, I'll give them something a little something extra. But this tipping automatically, it's for the birds. As far as I'm concerned, they're just doing their job.Mr. Blue: Hey, our girl was nice.Mr. Pink: She was okay. She wasn't anything special.Mr. Blue: What's special? Take you in the back and suck your dick?Nice Guy Eddie: I'd go over twelve percent for that.

im just saying, if you cant follow the rules of the restaurant industry then dont go out to eat. tipping correctly is one of the rules. and its not MY boss, its the entire business. and there is a lot of trolling itt, so on that notebye
7/6/2009 11:09:43 PM
One of the rules?

If I perform poorly I get fired. That should be motivation enough.
7/6/2009 11:11:18 PM
Hey kruky. I guess the 3 years I spent working in resturants and delivering pizzas in high school doesn't count ?? please explain to me why waiters/bartenders should be paid shity salaries while the customers over par for food and drinks AND have to pay their salaries while the owners make a fucking mint???Do you tip your garbage man? Do you tip cable guy when he comes out? Do you tip the bagget at the grocery store? Do you tip the guy at best buy when you buy a tv?[Edited on July 6, 2009 at 11:13 PM. Reason : Fucking iPhone]

if you claim to have worked 3 years in the restaurant industry and do not understand the concept of tipping, then dont bother talking to me. You clearly dont get it, and your being a troll.

7/6/2009 11:16:17 PM
my parents tip the garbage and recycle guys with cases of beer for christmas
7/6/2009 11:16:20 PM
it's a cultural thing. it's not like tipping is somehow intrinsic to serving food.
7/6/2009 11:16:47 PM
Knowledge of product?KNOWLEDGE OF PRODUCT?!?!?Here's your order. What FUCKING knowledge of product?!?!?Hell I have knowledge of my companies product. Can I get tipped too?Get that weak ass shit outta here son

7/6/2009 11:22:23 PM
I think you speak idiot rather well.
7/6/2009 11:22:52 PM
You fucking tool... fine ill give in and answer your question.Servers make 2.15 an hour. The only money they make comes from tips paid to them by customers. If they were paid an hourly wage, then nobody would want to be a server. Its hard work (especially puting up with people like you). Why would you stand on your feet all day and kiss ass to customers and run food, when other jobs out there pay an equal, hourly wage. The reality is that servers at a decent restaurant, who know half of what they really should to do a quality job, do ACTUALLY make a decent amount of money. Mainly because the majority of society (unlike yourself) has half of a brain, and understands how this industry works. And if you are trying to convince me that you work 3 years in the restaurant and delivery industry... (which concievably would be more than all the other trolls like yourself in here) but yet you still cant grasp this relatively simple concept, then you are a fucking idiot.

what did you do for work during college? just curious
7/6/2009 11:43:28 PM
LuckezCharm ITT
7/6/2009 11:44:23 PM
I tutored, did some computer work for the university, and did programming during a coop.
7/6/2009 11:44:37 PM
those definitely seem like good jobs to have during college, but you can make much more waiting tables, and work less hours. serving might be the only option for someone who has higher bills yet can't afford to work many hours a week due to classes. i am just saying, other than internships and other jobs that are actually related to what you are studying, and might help you later in your career, i can't think of a better job for a student than waiting tables.[Edited on July 6, 2009 at 11:49 PM. I wish there was no tipping in society. Its getting to the point where I have no idea who gets and who doesn't get tipped anymore, besides wait staff. When I was growing up the standard was 13% and it's just kept going up, but the service has generally gone down b/c today's youth doesn't understand hard work and just think that b/c they bring the food they should automatically get 20%. I say fuck that. I give 20% to the servers that are actually good (I often go back to these places just to get served by them), and give 15% to the regular ones. I do round up a dollar based on the amount, unless the tip is like $X.03 or something similar.
7/6/2009 11:51:34 PM
Other than the obvious, is it better to leave a cash tip rather than by credit/debit? I always tip in cash thinking that if it's from a credit card it'll be taxed.
7/6/2009 11:52:35 PM
^^^Are you fucking serious? If you can make much more working less than why bitch about the nights you don't do well. If you can't afford to work many hours a week during classes you should probably take less classes or work at night. I can think of many jobs that would have benefited me more than waiting tables would have.
7/6/2009 11:52:37 PM
Not tipping is pedestrian and lazy. Period. This is the way that industry works, and if you aren't prepared to tip then stay your broke ass home and cook some ez-mac or whatever other swill you eat.People can throw around their own internal justifications for not recognizing the service of others. My first job was in pharmacy, which is part of the service industry, and having worked it I don't give anybody bad tips unless they deserve it. When I order, I automatically consider everything is at least 15% more than listed on the menu.I've found that most people who treat others in the service indstury like shit often have their own issues, so you can just walk away with a reasonably accurate thought about how much their life sucks.Granted, there are definetly examples of bad service. Bad service = 10% tip max.
