^^^ some might call that expanding the pie. plus if you are going to have regenning health, you might as well have unlimited ammo. some of us like a more fast paced run-and-gun style game. trust me, there are plenty of ways to die quickly and even if there were ammo restrictions, you'd never run out.

regen is also nice for balancing out vehicles (since it is much harder for them to camp, while still letting them take more than 1 rocket).

i wonder how bad the camping is with unlimited ammo and regen health.. i mean i dont know the levels and havent played it but seems like those two things to me would encourage more camping with a sniper.

Except for that spotting thing, which is still there from BFBC

where basically if you hit someone, everyone else on your team can see them for the next 30 minutes.

The target spotting worked alot better in BF2 and somewhat in BF2142 (i still really liked this game though not as much as 2 or 1942). Where it was only for squads or the commander could do it for the whole time.

Little details like this reward playing as a team and helping each other out, without making it impossible to go it alone. I don't really feel like that was done very much. This game feels a lot like an Unreal Tournament or Quake game as far as team mechanics go. You can't even join a squad once at all during game play if you didn't join one in your first game, unless you leave the server.

while i like quake style play, i do agree the squad thing is annoying. i prefer games with full team speak so u dont have to listen to silence (most of the time) if u didnt play with friends or get a lucky squad.

that said, going solo isnt too bad if u go to a flag that is far away from the firefight. ive snuck up on decent teams before and grabbed a flag in the back. sur ethey take it back quickly if ur team doesnt spawn out there, but it is doable.

I should've waited for the PC version.

yeah.

the other thing that bugs me about this game is that you can't move the carriers. then again i guess maybe few people knew you could do that in BF1942 since they were always in the same place most games. I'm gonna have to go to my parents house and get my cds for 42

yeah i know i know its only $15, but most of all i wish the maps had a little bit more variation. They're all more or less the same.

So anyone still playing this? I just got a Xbox360 and have been playing the last few nights. Not a bad game. PC version is slated to come out soon from what I read.
