No one is saying that she had an easy time with the media, the media pretty much laid into her with full force. However, sympathy is a tough one to muster with this lady, she knew exactly what she was getting into, and jumped in swinging. Anyone that isn't thick-skinned doesn't belong in politics to begin with.

Although I will say that being in sales I am very careful as to what I put on my vehicle.

I got an Obama magnet instead of a sticker for that very reason. I always took it off of my car when making sales calls.

Oh hoopty fuck, you're a few years out of college and your boss gave you the toilet scrubbing duty of interviewing some random individual for a managerial position. I was doing this while working a shitty retail job in college.

Do you honestly believe that you could not get along with somebody with different political views than your own? If so, perhaps you're the one that doesn't need to work at the company. Civilized discourse is a pretty goddamn easy thing to pull off in the office, and you'd have been able to tell from the lunch interview alone whether or not this person was going to be a problem (without having to be a biased ass and reading a great deal into a bumper sticker).
