I like how everyone wears tapout gear now. I trained in jui jitsu for a while and did some MMA training and sparring, but I dont consider myself an MMA fighter nor do I feel the need to wear tapout gear to show everyone how tough I am.

Agree on both counts. Seeing people in bars in their tapout/affliction shirts makes me lol, especially when its the previously mentioned smedium shirt. Just another douche who wants to look tuff.

I get the same mindset for people who follow the Crossfit 2000X fad...wow, lifting weights and integrating a cardio program/regime gets you in shape!11!!!!! OMFG

i think you fucked up somewhere, theres crossfit and p90x both are excellent strength, conditioning, and weight loss programs that have not a damn thing to do with fighting, the techniques were developed from gymnastics and general cross training, its a different and nonconventional approach to combatting plateuing during training, i doubt you know what the fuck im talkin about so anyway


i have no problem with guys that wear fight company attire, because it puts money in the hand s of the fighter that are sponsored by them.

me i dont wear any of it, all i wear are the shirts that I earned in grappling tournaments and fights ive actually been in (and no they are not smedium, they hang off my ass like a true G)

^^The 2000X is just a sarcastic thing. I know of the two programs and have friends that do them...these friends have done other exercise programs in the past and their body state is still the same as it has ever been (as far as I can tell with clothes and all, of course). Someone mentioned it earlier in the thread I thought. I know it doesn't have to do with fighting exactly, but it is in the same lines of physical hobbies that people will pick up that they have no intention of doing anything with. my b.

Agree about the money part, but I would assume that the idea going through their head when they buy the skull and graffitti type shirts is "I'm gonna look so badass in this...who the fuck is Cotoure (sp)" rather than "I hope the Affliction team can use this money to train better!!!"
