NAPA Auto Parts - drove the truck with the yellow hat.

Petsmart (Brier Creek) - sold dog food, acted like I knew all about it and didn't have a clue. Made up a different description for each food depending on what it seemed like the customer wanted It's all the fucking same anyway. I finally quit after having to spend an hour one day helping some 60 year-old princess pick out which shirt and booties combination looked best on her poodle.

Summer Day Camp Counselor - fired. An 8 year-old whiny, spoiled, soft little loser of a boy fell and scraped his hand. No blood. He cried and cried and cried. I refused to get him a bandaid, and told him to stop crying and go join the rest of the group. Then he hit some girl that he'd been picking on all summer. Another counselor made him apologize. Forced, he at least said the words. I told him "Sometimes, 'sorry' is not enough." Yeah, his mom didn't like that when she heard about it.

Serena's Grill in RTP - fired. This pompous, rich bitch tried to send her salad back because it was too spicy. I told her I'd be glad to get her an order of something else. She wanted something else for free. I pointed to the bright red lettering on the menu, the bold chili peper, and the warning words saying "Spicy" next to the salad. I'd had more than enough of RTP yankees being snooty and demanding, so I told her: "Ma'am, the fact that you can't read doesn't mean I owe you free food." Yep. Fired.

I learned my lesson. Now, 98% of my work is with men. There is no drama, and anything but direct speech is frowned upon. Yankees and women. They can both be cool. Just never at work.

I worked with this one cook who says he's had a perfect track record of odd-ball jobs. Now he's a chef on a train and has a side job as one of those dudes with white gloves, this little star-shaped thing with flashing lights on a string, and he pulls the strings and does designs.

Purple Pickett Furn Company
Lifeguard & then Head Lifeguard @ Meredith

I'm so glad those days are over -- although i would LOVE to be a lifeguard at my old pool for the rest of my life. Relax, take a dip or read a book in your down time and then work for the other half of each hour. To think that people complained about that job.

I liked working at Overton's. There's been interesting things during the graveyard shifts as a CA. The co-op taught me things that school never could.

Cary News...sports reporter. Pretty bad ass...go watch high school girls play soccer, interview the goal-scorers and then write a story about it. Although at $30/story it wasn't the most profitable gig in the world.

Friend's dad's internet company...only full-time job I've ever had...sucked and convinced me that having a full-time job sucks

Guy that sat behind the desk in the computer lab in Harrelson Hall.
