if you talk to one of the 2 owners of the dakota grill they will order some of this shit for you. It is cheaper to get it from them than to order online like i did. They will usually just order mass amounts and get a deal.

You don't buy it for the cost...You buy it for the nutritional value. Bison is lower in calories, lower in fat, and lower in cholesterol than ground beef. Not a little lower either...1/3 to 1/2 iirc.

you can tell a big difference, and I put everything on my chit, including a lot of hot peppers 7 bucks a pound is almost the same for normal beef burgers.

So, after reading this thread, I am going to order a foie gras-topped, black truffle-encrusted buffalo burger at Burger Bar in Las Vegas.

SO HUNGRY.

Well, I do have two bison steaks in the freezer right now. I'll probably just eat them frozen and raw; meatsicle style because I'm so tuff.

Honestly, if you have a job, seven bucks a pound is no big deal.

I eat seafood every day, and a good ahi tuna steak is $8 a pound on sale.

^^ Fresh ahi is cheap where I live (Florida)

^ We should do dinner and beer sometime. I think we share similar sentiments.

Ew. I wouldn't eat ahi in W. Va.

Farm-raised salmon, yes. Ahi tuna, no.

That stuff has to be served rare.

I dont live in the city dude, I have lived in a town that has one stoplight for 3 years. I have to drive an hour to go to best buy. Things can be expensive, a lobster is like 19 bucks a pound where I live. You can find it for like 12 in raleigh.

but still, its 4-5 bucks for lean ground beef, the good stuff.

and the fish around here is fresh

Frozen fish is frozen fish. At least the tuna is wild caught. Farm raised fish is generally loaded with all types of nasty cancer causing junk that you don't want in your body.

i grew up on the coast in wilmington. my best friend's dad would take really rich clients out on fishing trips and i would go with as first mate. when we got back to the docks (bridgetender, fish house...) the guy from the restaurant would meet us and ask to buy all of our mahi.

you are allowed to have your opinion on whether that is an accepted term in your shitty fisherman life or not but it is pretty widely used and you really just sound like a douchebag with overstated opinions

i suppose the carolinas is the only place that would call those dolphins

thats why when we are covered in the news they always manage to get the biggest redneck interview

^ other people fish, not just you, so you are saying if you and a friend go out in his boat and you catch the fish it doesnt count because its not your boat?
