I DVR'd and watched on TV and you could not make me or hotcurlz24 out any of the times they panned over to the side. We were on the top of the gym near the back corner, it was a pretty good view because you could see the whole floor. It was definitely closer than I ever thought I would get to a US president.

I still have mixed feelings about the health care overhaul but one thing I learned for sure is those secret service guys are completely badass. I have never seen a dude stand for that long, six inches from a rail and not lean on it even once. Totally stone faced at all times. People would go up and try to talk to them and they pretty much gave one word answers without stopping their visual scans of the crowd for even a second. I would love to know what kind of personality test you have to take to even get considered for that job, probably equally as bad ass.

Haha I had some really fun secret service guys over on the press side. They kept letting me be mean to people instead of them. I had fun escorting people out of our section. I also kept asking if I could ride to the airport with the Pres. It was too funny. They joked around with me before the event got started and then their faces went stone cold. It was really cool to see those guys. My fav were the ones that travel with the President. They were complete badasses in my book.

I was impressed with how smooth their operation was. It was probably one of the coolest things I've ever been involved with.

I had a blast over the past few days!!
