Back before college I would hide my cash in my room, but one summer I came back from college and found $100 I forgot about. That was a good day. It probably sat there for a year or two.I've never found a lot of money that wasn't already mine though. Maybe a $20 on the road.

I found $100 when I was like 10 in my neighbor's driveway. People would always cut through his yard to get from one neighborhood cul-de-sac to another (he was cool with it). My mom made me go with her to knock on a couple doors (we knew them all pretty well) and ask if they had lost money. (obviously you follow that up with oh yeah how much?)I got to keep it but of course at 10 my mom made me save it

I found $70 at RDU when I was about 13 or 14I found $20 in the parking lot where I used to work about 5 years agoI found $5 on the brickyard and $7 walking the dog in my old neighborhoodThe other day, I left my wallet (~$100, credit cards, debit cards, ss card) in the chair at Starbucks. 30 minutes later, I noticed it missing and went back to retrieve it, and some guy was sitting in that same chair. I asked if anyone had turned in a wallet, and the manager said no. So I went over and asked the dude to get up and it was still there. Whew.

I was in California back in like 5th grade. Lost my Tevas at the beach to some massive waves, and as I tried to recover them, I got distracted because I found a wallet. It was full of cash, but I can't remember how much because evidently it belonged to a surfer who found me rummaging through it and thanked me for finding it. So I didn't get a penny out of it, but I guess it was somewhere around $50-100.Other than that, I watched a dude drop a 20 near the Vortex at Carowinds when I was a kid, and even though the place was packed, I managed to run over and pick it up after he walked off and before anyone else found it.I also found a coin collection in this chick's house one time. Back in '02 or so, there was this skank that always hung around my roommate and the gay dudes who lived in my suite. She had my friends' couch, so we went to pick it up and the apartment manager told us to take anything we wanted, because it was all about to get trashed (she went MIA and stopped paying bills and all, supposedly moved and left everything behind). It was finders keepers for my friend and I, and I got the coin collection. I'm guessing the value of that may have topped out around $50, and I still have it sitting somewhere. Surprised I didn't try to trade it off for a bag of weed.

i found $40 the other day by out apartment complex pool. i remembered a mom with a young kid asking people on that side of the pool if they had seen something but couldn't hear what she was looking for. when i found the $ i figured that was what she was missing so i turned it in to the apt complex manager. she knew the woman i described so the money ended up back with its rightful owner. while it would have been nice to keep the money, i was told that the lady was really happy and relieved to get it back and that made me feel good.

About a year ago I found like 50$ outside a hibachi restaurant in Dunn. My girlfriend and I were walking out and she stepped right on top of it and didn't notice. I picked it up and wasn't sure if she would get mad at me for keeping it so I didn't say anything. A little bit later we went to Dairy Queen and I paid using cash (something I rarely do) and she was like wtf? I told her I found it outside the restaurant and she said she would've kept it too.
