^ there is no way a >200 BPM can be sustained for an entire race.

^^Okay I found a linked article that says they keep it (on average) above 180bpm the entire race, and it also says that when they're qualifying it can be 50bpm above that. Impressive, but yeah I was wrong.I've got coffee in my system right now, and recently have been stressed out a lot so taking my heart rate right now wouldn't be very accurate. In my workouts I've been doing a lot of cardio and can knock out 11-12 miles on a bike without exceeding a heartrate of 155 so it's improved.I have pretty good blood pressure (114/80 roughly) so I'm not terribly concerned.http://www.formula1.com/news/interviews/2009/4/9277.htmlHere's a better link/article:

I can see it getting that high..but not staying there for the whole race. I mean, 150'ish..sure. that shit has to be crazy, but close to 200 for hours?

i went for my physical and about 2 minutes after i was startled from a deep nap in the office my heart rate was measured at an even 50
