went junior year with this girl i had been dating off and on for a few months and liked way too much for my own good. paid for dinner and all that shit, went to the thing, went back to my friend's place for the after party where she proceeded to make out with one of my best friends and started dating him a few months afterwards. but that was after she fucked one of my other friends. typical high school shit. also she never thanked me for anything like paying for her dinner or paying for her ticket to the event.

senior year i didn't go because i had such a shitty time junior year, and all my friends who were girls either had boyfriends or dates already by the time i thought about possibly going. i ended up going out to get beer that day, ate dinner with my parents, watched ice age and resident evil on cinemax, then told my mom i was going over to my friend's place because he was having people over. it still remains one of the best parties i've been to. so much absurd shit happened. basically i skipped all the gay shit about prom and ended up doing what everyone looks forward to the most anyways. minus fucking your date of course since i didn't have one.

I had a date and she had to let me go one week prior to the prom. Her dad was a preacher and was ok with it at first, then his mind started playing tricks on him, then decided that's not going to happen due to "You know what happens at prom night."

Went stag, and danced and talked to more girls than I had ever danced and talked to in that one night. It was a great night.

Danced a lot with this one girl named Aubree who bragged about a lot of risque actions in a lot of her former high schools. She was short and cute and got away with a lot of stupid crap on account that she was short and cute. She was my first kiss. I could tell she smoked a lot, but didn't mind at the time because she was so short and cute. She wanted to go somewhere and do more, but a first kiss was a milestone in my book at the time and decided that that was enough.

I was a total sap about it.

The week following her boyfriend confronted me on the matter in which I had no idea she had a boyfriend. A friend of mine had asked me about it in Electrical Trades class and as I talked about it, he overheard our conversation. As he turned around, he pretty much threatened to make my life a living hell.

While I perfectly respected his point of view, lots of special operations-type pranks ensued. He never fulfilled his threats to me because he was too busy chasing someone who was pulling these pranks... which was me. He didn't know it was me, but it kept him busy until I graduated.

For some reason, this was still fun to me.

^Yes I did. He was known for his violence, suspended for numerous fights, and more specifically, he was a man of his word and held the profile of a sociopath. When he made threats, he was never known for his threats to be something he took lightly, so at the time, neither did I. I had no desire to engage him on account that I was 3 times skinnier and probably 5 times weaker than he was. I entertained the idea that I was more agile, but yeah, using my head was the way to get myself out of that one.

The name of the game was how many ways can I keep him distracted and for how long can I keep him distracted before he remembered who I was before I graduated. With electrical trades as a constant reminder to him, I took my chances.

I talked to her later about what had happened, and she was a total bitch about it. Now thinking back, I think she liked me in a weird and unorthodox way and that she was somehow testing me.

She told me that she never said anything, I did. But had she told me that she had a boyfriend I would have respected that. This was weirdness I was not used to. She pretty much told me he never went after her for some of the stunts she's pulled, but he always held anyone that hit on her liable and that I was on my own.

That was what I needed. I noticed his chronies talked to her when he was not around and that she often talked to other people outside that group.

I learned that he had a few chronies who always followed him and that he had a Type-A personality. Also, he didn't like other Type-A guys and their chronies.

You learn what their names are and pin them against each other with a few anonymous notes about a girl who was supposed to be his and you have distraction. This causes dissention among his guys, and causes conflict with other groups. Suddenly he's hot headed and has no idea what he's getting himself into.

It's all he talked about in Electrical Trades.

I did get to talk to her after all that, she thought it was clever, gave me her number and kissed me again and ran off to tell him. The summer started five days later.

both proms i went with my hs bf that i dated the entirety of my jr & sr year...yeah i was one of those.

jr year we went with a group and i recall a lot of tension b/c my bff didn't like my bf b/c apparently he was a two faced weirdo that i didn't learn about until much later in life. shoulda listened to the friend...ANYWHO. it was at the shrine club and the only thing i remember was a couple of drunk jr guys trashed the bathroom, and this one kid got to borrow his stepdad's camaro for the night and crashed it by the front door. D'OH!!

so b/c of the bathroom incident, sr prom was in the school's gym...we didn't go with a group this time, and i think i was there for 40 minutes. then we left, went home and watched a movie.

kinston was better known for its Christmas and Sweet Sixteen parties b/c they were privately sponsored dances at the country club. it was much easier to get plastered w/o consequence from the school, after parties were better, and it included soph-seniors (and a small percentage of freshman) from 3 of 5 HS in Lenoir County so it was a lot more people...prom always sucked.

junior year the girl in charge fucked up the reservations at the restaurant so we had the cliche group prom dinner at mcdonalds. That was actually pretty fun. Then we drag raced down the main drag to the prom location 4 cars going about 100 the entire way (stupid yes, fun yes).

proms suck.

I put on my tuxedo t-shirt and watched the live webcam stream of my senior prom from my bedroom alone. I had punch and cupcakes though. I fapped to girls dancing on the dance floor and went to bed. I still consider the night a success.

My junior year I was dating a senior, so I took her to the prom. Not that eventful other than getting kicked out by the vice principal for being a little to naughty on the dance floor. I guess she was the vice principal after all. Afterwards we went to a spot and parked the car for a while. Nothing x-rated really, but we had fun.

My senior year sort of sucked. I took a friend who I wouldn't have minded getting to know better, but I felt like she just wanted to hang out with her loser friends all night. I don't even think we kissed when I dropped her off.

Didn't go jr year, senior year was a series of minor logistical disasters, starting with when we tried to get a limo about a week before prom, ended up with an early 80's Caddy that had seen better days (this was in 1998) because that was possibly the only limo left for rental in the city.
We had a group of 11 and there was a miscalculation of how many could fit in the limo. Consequently one person had to sit on the floor.
At dinner, the waitress completely fucked up the bill, then presented us with another incorrect one, then essentially threw up her hands in confusion, gave us a total, and told us to figure out how to split it. This took 3 of us about 20 minutes while the others waited downstairs.
We finally got to prom at about 10:15, but had to stick around until and after the end because my date was on the prom committee and responsible for helping take down decorations.
And, after all this, I had to take her home immediately afterward because she (a junior) was taking the SAT at 8 AM the next day.

Ah, memories.

hahah so back to my prom junior year. I found out my gf of like 6 months had been recently cheating on me with this complete tool bag. So i found this out about a week before prom. As not to make the plans (ha..plans, see above) fail i decided to ride it out and see what happens. So we all go to prom and its awful. Her and I are arguing the entire night, we dance a little, make up a little etc etc. So prom ends and we go to a party, i then sneak off to another party for about and hour and get extremely mangled. So my buddy and i drive back to the original party and the cops are there. So the girls sneak our mangled asses inside somehow and the cops break the party up and make anyone not staying leave. So we are all sitting there bored, about 10-12 of us and for some reason i get dared to eat a MilkBone. So in my state of mind i take them up on the dare and prepare to eat the dog treat. My girlfriend looks at me and says "If you put that dog biscuit in your mouth i swear to god you will not kiss me tonight". I looked back at her and said in a calm tone "that's the best news i've heard all night". And then i ate the dog biscuit.

the next day i dumped her.

Sophomore year -
Sophomore prom attendant because of my GPA.

Junior Year -
My prom w/ my gay best friend at the time...
I went to the prom w/ this guy who had a super crush on me (I met the guy at Summer Ventures - Math and Science camp) - it was fun but interesting b/c the prom was in the mountains and like 7 people got engaged there and like 5 girls were VERY pregnant!
I went to the prom w/ my cousin's friend because he begged me. I had a good time though.

Senior Year-

we only had a sr prom. a bunch of my friends and i weren't dating anyone, so we decided to go stag. it was great not to have the pressure of some dude that i didn't like or wasn't interested in.

my only wish is that we would've run in a different crowd and had a better after party to go to - our after party was alcohol free.
