even though Eduardo fell face first in the box after NO contact from the keeper. riiiiiiiiiight. i, too, think he deserved the ban.

The reason it was overturned was that UEFA realized that if they upheld it they would have to enforce this for every player and team, and there is no way they would ever ban someone like Wayne Rooney or Steven Gerrard.

^^Lol. you got those arsenlol blinders on hard there.

rules are rules. either enforce them or don't. but don't say you're going to and then not do it.

How do I have Arsenal blinders on? I even said in this thread that what Eduardo did pissed me off, and I support a ban IF UEFA is going to be consistent with it and do it to everyone. Them overturning it is admitting that they have no intention of enforcing it ever.

maybe i misinterpreted your sentiment, but it looked as though (in that post at least) you thought overturning the ban was the right thing to do. i guess the last part of your sentence - where you said Rooney and Gerrard would never be punished for similar action - is what threw me off.

but i guess we agree it's pointless to say one thing and do another as far as rules go. and i'll agree that overturning this ban is admitting they don't have any intention of enforcing this rule. my b.

Rooney had a bit of a slanging match with some Turkish fans behind the dugout too after being subbed. Calm down Wayne, calm down."

nani is looking more like he's about to start a michael jackson cover show rather than doing anything in this game...

[Edited on September 15, 2009 at 4:16 PM. Reason : btw, how does inzaghi keep scoring goals?? hes gotta be 40 now lol]

yeah... there are 2 other matches on FSC before that

Why they wouldn't want to show the Barca/Inter match live is beyond me...it's the best matchup of this stage.

I thought a 2:45pm game for us would be 8:45 for the Central European Time zone which Italy uses.

I am watching the replay of Arsenal/Standard. After both goals, Standard's fans sang "Hey Baby." Reminds me of how Man U sings United Road.

Liverpool down 2-0, a grand total of 1 shot in the first 45 which was Gerrard from about 30 yards out.
