^^ I know my limits unlike the dumbass beach monkies. Hell it wouldn't surprise me at all if I have to rescue one of them.
Furthermore how many surfers actually get rescued by lifeguards on the east coast???? VERY fucking few... OK now how many dumbass people at the beach get rescued by surfers... take a minute and go search... ok now stfu thanks.

I'm a little worried to be honest simply because I've only been in overhead surf a couple times in my life. I'll do some watching and make the judgment call when I get there as to whether I go in the water.

I do swim 1 mile sessions a few times a month and do some open water swims on occasion though; so I'm not totally out of my element.

In all honesty I am expecting Sat. to be a complete wash. It will be waaaaaaaaay to big for most beaches to do anything but close out and even if it isn't closing out paddling out will be a nightmare. Sunday should be fun though offshore wind and a bit more manageable size. Just make sure you aren't surfing with competition leash because they aren't strong enough to hold up to much in the way of overhead surf.

High tide was really high today. The surf has been super calm the past few days and today it was really picking up.

I'm watching Point Break right now and I have completed all the missions on Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer for XBox. Hopefully I'll be good to go on Sunday.

By this weekend it may be a little late for those south facing beaches. Maybe get some swells wrapping around though.
