I came down because of my idiot father's job. I had no choice. After I lived in NC for a while, I went to NCSU for in-state tuition. Then after I got an opportunity, I moved back up to DC, established DC residency, and I go to law school up here now that i'm not dependent on my fucktard dad.

So yeah, probably because of jobs and fucktard parents forcing their kids to move to the south.

P.S. I "questioned" some of you because some of you were just very ignorant; in some cases just very different though. I do the same up here.

it's always just been my observation that southerners tend to be paranoid as fuck about everything and constantly feel like people from the north are out to get them when you really can't be any farther from the truth. i grew up in NC, but my family and the families of almost all my friends were from the north. i've spent a pretty decent amount of time up north to know that yankees do not give a shit what goes on in the south. and no one ever brings up the fucking civil war up there either.

There is nothing, and I mean nothing, I love more than joking about southern heritage with the folks I work with up here on Cape Cod. I walk in a fucking room and hear shit like, "War of nathan agrayshin!" and "You can take the girl out of the south but you can't take the south out of the girl!"

But it gets on my nerves sometimes...

I liked the people from NY that I met and worked with around the Oneonta and Cooperstown area. That also happened to be an extremely rural area with a lot of farms and retirees that bitched about how much they hated living in NYC.

When I worked around Newark and Trenton, I felt the urge to stab someone about 20 times a day.
