I think it was one of those movies that some people either loved or hated. Those that loved it could never get enough, while those who hated it couldn't believe the others saw the same movie. As one of those that loved it I will probably love the sequel no matter what the reviews say. Sort of like "The Expendables" movie coming out next August. It may have the worst script and acting, yet so many people will watch it over and over.

I'm debating seeing this just for the hell of it. It's got to be at least entertaining.

Has anybody given this a shot?

^^,^ you'll have to travel to the N.E. or LA to see it because its chances of getting a nationwide release are dwindling with each bad review

This doesn't really make sense to me, as far as ANY movie

I'm not somebody who nuts all over myself talking about this movie or Fight Club or Donnie Darko or whatever other movies people put on crazy pedestals (I prefer to nut all over myself about The Godfather, Goodfellas, etc)

I just think if you love the shit out of a movie, you would probably see the sequel

or at least download it

Just got back from Crossroads!

Loved it. If you are a fan of the first and do not see this, then you are depriving yourself.

I would love to say more, but spoilers and all...

http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/boondock_saints_ii_all_saints_day/

RT has it at 21% right now which, based on my track record with that group of emo "artistic" elitists, means i'll think it's great

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1300851/

imdb has it at 7.5/10, and they're usually much closer to my taste in movies since most of those voters go out to enjoy a movie, not to analyze and deconstruct it with the dream of becoming the next ebert or roeper (or siskel, RIP)

yea rottentomatoes are generally a bunch of elitist assholes who have to analyze the shit out of movies to find ways to make themselves sound smart by analyzing. just look at their top 100... with a few exceptions it is a list of movies few have heard of but have "deeper" meaning.

[Edited on November 30, 2009 at 11:10 PM. Reason : i question the ability of a sequel of this kind of movie to deliver.]

^Yeah Toy Story and Wizard of Oz and Godfather? What is that shit?

^^^If having no desire to see this garbage makes me an elitist asshole, then that's what I am. I can live with that. Have fun throwing away $10.

the majority of those movies are pretty well known. However, their top 100 is not much to argue over compared to IMDB mainly because they don't have enough votes to really even worry about what is ranked where.

I went to see this movie. I walked out within the first 20 mins.

It's super cheesy. If you like that, you'll love this movie.

It was so bad, as to be comical when it wanted to be serious.

How bad could a movie possibly be in 20 minutes that it would make you walk out? Do you walk out on every bad movie you see?

Maybe it's just me, but if I've made the decision to spend $10 on a movie, I'm going to at least stay for half of it. But then again, I can judge a movie well enough from reviews and trailers to know if I could make it through the whole thing in the first place.

It was pretty fucking cheesy. I typically don't leave a movie, but I was offered another movie in it's stead, so I took it.

Okay the first half of the movie is AWFUL. I was cringing at what this would do to my perceptions of the first movie it was so bad. And i was DRUNK and drinking heavily at the theater.

It's like a bad special on comedy central with gay jokes, bad acting, the whole nine. May as well have a Jeff Foxworthy cameo.

The 2nd half of the movie is much like the first, awesome scenes and just general badass stuff.

It's DEFINITELY worth seeing but I would recommend bringing a coloring book for the first half.

Did people really hate this movie that much? I loved every minute of it. But I guess it helps that I liked the first one.

it was pretty terrible

and the cowgirl thing was fucking ridiculous

and the pretty much irrelevant flashback was too

but it was what I thought it was, and I wasn't expecting anything else
