Never...ever ever ever ever ever...ask someone at Best Buy about a product. The only questions you should ask them is if they have something in stock.
And no, HD-DVDs are not useless...they still have fantastic quality and they still play if you have the right equipment, and not just if you put a player off of ebay or craigslist. I bought a BD/HDDVD combo drive for less than any player out there. Is an HTPC or Xbox external drive for everyone? No. But HD-DVDs are far from useless. 9/20/2009 12:06:52 PM
