buddy guy is the only one on that list worth a damn.

clapton? srv? seriously? fuck those guys. i mean i like the yardbirds, but damn.

if you want to listen to good blues, listen to shit like Lightnin' Hopkins, John Lee Hooker. i hate that blues-rock bullshit.

I don't dislike Johnny Winter or SRV if I'm in the mood, but there's no denying that the real bluesmen made better music.

andrew bird...i know his solo career was kind of "on accident" and it's a little over the 5 year mark, but he's still my fave and i've only liked him more with each album

the one i'm most excited about hearing more from is edward sharpe & the magnetic zeros
