I was relegated to the radio for the pick-6, but the one I saw was absolutely terrible. I don't think there was a receiver within 5 yards of the guy.

I still think Spiller is going to have ~350 total yards of offense (rushing, receiving, and returns) and we'll lose by 10+ points. I do think Wilson will have a pretty good game, but I just do not see us keeping Clemson out of the end zone enough to win.

Thankfully Clemson's kicker is retarded so if it is a close game, we have that advantage (that fucker missed 2 extra pts and 2 FGs against FSU and then the backup also missed an extra pt).

Score:
Clempson: 45
NC State: 31

If I'm the defensive coordinator, I play 8 guys in the box the whole game, and put the corners up tight on the WR to eliminate the WR screens. I'd rather take my chances getting burnt on a deep ball than get raped all the way up the field. I'd also start Bobby Floyd in place of Audie Cole, and use Cole as a situational pass-rusher (the dude is failing big time in the open field).

Archer won't do this, of course.

hell yes. we need philadelphia style this game. whoever said that should be our new def coordinator for at least this game.

i like how philly blitzes 3 line backers and a corner on stuff like 3rd and 19. love it. ha

Yea, this bullshit 4 man blitz is not going to cut it, we need to just fill the gaps with bodies and pressure the QB all day long

Meh, I think our dline has a better chance of stopping Spiller than our defensive backs have a chance at stopping Ford deep.

It's really pick your poison. At least if we decide to stop the deep ball to Ford the score might not be as bad at the end

(Then again, it'll only take spiller about 3 plays to go 80 yards)

I will be attending this game and watching the hord come in here and demonstrate what it takes to put up 70 points on a fellow D1 FBS school.

clemson has 19 picks so far this year. i expect that to increase by at least 2 courtesy of the great russel wilson.

Spiller will get benched at half time because he will be too exhausted to continue playing...

^^ Haha, they might as well start recruiting track players for the football team, this way they can get some off-season practice against us... I mean there is no danger of physical contact...

nc state & the word defense should not be in the same sentence.

kyle parker can throw it deep, and i think you will see clemson run CJ on the wheel route up the sideline for his 3rd score of the year on that play. the secondary is just clueless and there's no possible way the ncstate defense can stop clemsons offense.

state will score some points, but its going to take at least 40 to have a shot at overcoming the amount of points we will allow.

the optimist in me is saying: Clemson 50
Pack 45 we loose in double overtime,

and if our defense goes back to its current ways:

Clemson 75
Pack 35

Im wrong about both!

We can't stop everything. Stopping the short passing game and forcing their QB to make a longer throw is the best shot we have. Longer throws might even give our dline a chance to get there and affect the young QB. Having a young QB practically demands disguised defenses.

Of course, archer won't do this.

man i was saying this shit for the last 2.5 quarters of the duke game. if we get burnt deep, at least it just means our cb's suck. if they cant cover duke wr's, we deserve to lose. but that dink and dunk shit just tears you apart to watch. at least TRY to cover!

UNC had the correct game plan against duke. they played press coverage and forced the Duke QB to hit longer routes. He didn't make the throws and their receivers couldnt get open. UNC rush got there, UNC wins easily.

Our defense isn't as good as theirs, but we were fucking doomed before we got onto the field because of our stupid fucking coaches

so, a site i went to said 98% of the action is on clemson right now. obv that shows an embarrassingly bad line, but does it also bring the possibility of a trap game???

the last Clemson match up I went to in Carter Finley was when Amato was still coaching, and my buds and I along with about 20,000 other folks starting booing, yelling, and cursing the hell out of Amato for his dumb ass decisions....god that night was crazy...I dont think Ive ever seen State fans so vocal and fed up with the same person. I even remember ESPN commentating on it later that night on sportscenter.

Hopefully our defense starts to show us a glimpse of how good they can 'eventually' become on Saturday. GO PACK!!
