No, by looking forward to I was referring to "it's a good thing UNC is on our schedule this year". I'd rather we not even play them this year. An easy kick while we're down and just another nail in the coffin that is the current state of our athletics department. It'll end up being a game that UNC fans will hang over our head for years to come. They'll probably finish up a 9-3 season by destroying us, the margin of victory will probably launch them into the top 20 and land them a better bowl bid.

With tOSU in yet another BCS bowl game and UNC's success I can't really come up with a worse college football season... of course the tOSU thing is entirely specific to me.

Waiting all year for this season and our games sucked so bad it's like it never even happened. Another loooong wait ahead. Sigh.

this entire season has been the most remarkable hit-and-run epic shitfest of a season i have ever seen.

This season has basically been like the JJ Hickson season in bball. I just cannot believe this type of shit continues to happen to NC State. I really, really hate being an NC State fan. Sometimes I wish I could just stop caring and start liking another team.

I honestly think I hate NC State more than I like it. Not only do our teams sour me on my alma mater in general, but this season has been bad enough that I can't even enjoy watching other teams play because they are so much better than ours, and even when they make mistakes, they don't make them repeatedly.

3-9 -> everything was fucked this year. no qb. no coach, penalties, just a few remnants of the good defense from the year before, major losses to unc and ecu
5-7 -> new coach! same old team, just a couple new faces, a unc upset, no qb, defense was still ok
6-6 -> RWilson, injuries, Andre Brown breakout, wr's were just terrible, nate irving monster, DEF was average otherwise, sort of an easy schedule, destroyed unc

(4-8, 5-7, 6-6) -> a win against a team that might finish in the top 15 (PITT). terrible defense, terrible special teams, awesome offense all around typically, injuries focused in defense, BLOWOUT LOSS TO DUKE.............. what's next WHO KNOWS

I hate that the lack of NC State athletic success makes me less proud of our university. My degree has allowed me to have a great life overall, but I have a hard time praising NC State to other people because I am embarrassed by our sports teams.

I don't even mention NC State in front on my friends who graduated from UF because I know how inferior our teams are. Academically we are similar to UF (at least in terms of engineering) and I actually am more successful professionally in my career than any of them.

Fuck you Lee Fowler.

I was listening to 99.9 today and they interviewed TOB, and they were talking about staff continuity, how it takes time to build a program, how it took Beamer 7-8 years to get it going at VT, blah blah. The gist that I got from it was that the players are still missing their assignments (talked about how everyone in the back 7 is a frosh or sophomore and that Clem Johnson should be considered a soph b/c this is his 2nd year here) and that Archer isn't going anywhere.

he also said that they've "dumbed down" the offense and the players still don't get it. If Archer is still around at the end of the year I'll be disappointed. This is a business, not a best friends convention.

I went to our game with VT the 1st year they were in the ACC, we won 17-16 and they missed a last second FG. The VT fans were very hospitable and it was a great atmosphere. They are the best opposing fans I have been around.
