It always makes me happy to see law enforcement doing something like the bridge/lidar/radio-ahead setup. I have to fight the urge to go get popcorn and climb up on the bridge to watch the collective "OH SHIT" feeling creep over the passing motorists as they speed toward me.

Someone once told me that in Virginia there's some loophole in the law that says the person who physically clocked you has to be the one who writes you the ticket and that you could get a ticket thrown out that way.Anyone know if that's true?

^ i'd be surprised if that were true esp cause VA loves to use aircraft for speed monitoring.

no such thing as a speed trap
11/19/2009 8:43:00 AM
^Yup. You're either speeding or not.

while it isn't debatable that you're either speeding or you're not, that doesn't mean that speed traps don't exist. stretches of land monitored for no other reason than the ease in which someone can be caught speeding. where speed limits are altered in such quick succession for the purpose of catching speeders. these areas exist, and are to what people are referring when they say speed traps.no need to act high and mighty here.oh yeah what i came here to post. they're all over the wade avenue extension so look out.[Edited on November 19, 2009 at 9:14 AM.
