how long had it been between the last good NBA player from state until JJ?

Was gugliotta the most recent?

^Pretty much. Todd Fuller had a couple below average years (like 5pts a game type stuff). I think he was the last one to get significant minutes...at least more than Josh Powell and Cedric Simmons.

Grundy got some NBA burn too, but it was only for a few weeks and he did not put up any stats worth remembering. JJ is the best NBA player from State in the past 15 years. Sad, but true.

^more like 10 years, googs made an all star team and was averaging high double digits in the mid to late 90's and some of the older guys like webb, brown, shackleford and del negro were still getting decent burn. Jj has the potential to pass those guys this season if he gets more pt but he'll need to be an all-star and avg dubs for a few seasons before he catches Googs.

^ okay 10+ years. Guggliota's best seasons were in 1997-1999 (I think). Still one heck of a drought. Hopefully JJ can one day be an all star too.

One would hope that he'd see that even the best NBA players work day in and day out to improve their game and learn from that.

His #1 priority should be fixing his shooting. Next should be rebounding and defense.

Same thing with Brown, too.

Hodge never stuck in the league because he couldnt shoot even though he was one of the best ACC players of his time. You'd think leslie would have learned that from Hodge by now.

I guess a better question is "why did he post '#savage'?"

^^^Only against wing teams like the Heat. Assuming they caused you to score all those poings, which is doubtful, you'd be an elite team. You would beat the Grizzlies because prince and allen would take all the shots, both go for 25 but the team would be completely out of sync. You would beat most teams if you scored that many points.

JJ is the player we've always wanted Scott Wood to play like...It may be a good mentor move for the Clippers if they want to keep Wood on reserve roster for awhile.

"When I looked over the rosters before heading to Orlando, Boston’s squad didn’t contain too many names I was overly excited about seeing in action. But after their first few games, this squad has caught my attention. First-round pick Kelly Olynyk has looked really solid (he will likely be included in a longer write-up), but it’s the cast around him that has me the most intrigued. Former Marquette star Darius Johnson-Odom, a short, stocky box of explosive power, lit up the Pistons yesterday for 22 points. Colton Iverson, the massive 7-footer Boston selected in the second round, looks like he could be a Greg Stiemsma–type player. European guard Courtney Fells had an excellent first game and was solid against the Pistons. And 6-foot-8 Tim Abromaitis has shown enough flashes that perhaps teams might look at him as a small forward who can compete on D and knock down shots from the outside as a bench player in the NBA. With a few more days left in Orlando (and possibly more for some of the players heading to Vegas), it will be fun to see how much traction some of these intriguing Boston players can gain with executives around the league."

Nah the nuggets lost iggy and koufos they arent contenders.

The rockets look the best on paper along with the heat, thunder, and clippers. Spurs have a solid postseason team too but less spectacular reg season record im guessing.

I dont know if the rockets can win it all this year. Its tough to win a title with a newly built roster.
