"The fuck he did.....how do you think he got those TDs in 70-6 routs??? They ran it up with him on everyone. Fuck Jack Gaster.

My high school went against him as well...strange I'm the third one in here to say that.

Albemarle had NO competition except Thomasville and now they are 2-A. I'd put more stock in Baker's records considering he was at Ragsdale."

don't be pissed cause we beat y'all by 64

be pissed cause we did it in the first half

hater

i'm sorry, i am one of the biggest ABC guys on this site, but you people are kidding youselves if you think college rivers had more impact than somebody like hansblow, ty lawson, reddick or shane battier.

you guys are wearing some serious rose colored glasses

rivers might have been one of the best fball players nc has seen, but that isnt saying much nationally AND nc is a bball state.

^^You are fucking kidding yourself if you don't think Albemarle ran it up on the shitty teams.

Its ok we ended beating "ya'll" in basketball when you thought you would steam roll us.

Rivers was more valuable. Those UNC bball players ALL had a good if not GREAT supporting cast. If Rivers had a comparable team around him on NCSU's football team there's no doubt we could have played for a national title. It's not like our football team has the type of athletes that compare to UNC basketball athletes

As a freshman, hansbrough only had david noel and jason terry. Its not even a question. Hansbrough is right behind tebow in a 2 man race for NATIONAL COLLEGE PLAYER OF THE DECADE. Rivers is probably top 10-15 at best behind the likes of redick morrison young bush noah horford carmelo zabransky turasi and parker

Of course we ran it up and we loved it. You implied that we kept TA in the 2nd half to get those totals and that is entirely incorrect. The score would 70-6 but we would be up 63-0 at halftime. TA wouldn't run the ball in the 2nd half, as the coaches would give those carries to EJ. If, in fact, he did play they would put him in a LB and let him head hunt on some kids. But what do I know, I was only there and all.

Bottom Line: Don't come off like a whining pussy cause we put in the work to beat your ass. Our high school had only had 400-500 students (if that) too but we managed.

Hansbrough set ACC records

Rivers set NCAA records

[Edited on December 12, 2009 at 11:20 AM. Reason : Well hansblo probably set records for 1) least blinks, 2) most lost contacts, and 3) most "will"]

I'd have to give the edge to Peppers over Smith because he's never left the state. Southern Nash high school, UNC-CH, and then to the Panthers. He also laid the hardest hit I've ever experienced playing high school ball when he blocked me on a kickoff.

Are you back in Albemarle dealing drugs with Tristan now too? The guy will never get my vote for anything because of the special treatment he got. That kid should have never gotten into any college much less NCSU. It's funny you bring up hard work when he apparently doesn't care to work at all. What a waste of talent.

Yes, Hansbrough won a Naismith and was the leader of a great TEAM. However, Rivers was clearly the best player out there every time he took the field. You can't say that about Hansbrough.

Nominations complete, now voting is going on. I have to call them out for including pros in other states and excluding Charlotte HS athletes...

http://share.triangle.com/node/30000

TA, Philip Rivers, and Steve Smith it is...

not that it matters since they arent including charlotte area players but toney baker is no longer the career rushing leader in NC
