^^ definitely not as good as soundgarden, but it was worlds better than audioslave, and cornell's voice hadn't started deteriorating yet. but yeah his other solo stuff was terrible. he just got progressively worse after EM

but dude. he's like jerry - he never went away after the initial band split and keeps coming back somehow (solo, audioslave, +pearlJam, soundgarden, etc). His iconic ,though deteriorated, voice is still great for earlier &soundgarden stuff, just not so much for his audioslave/solo stuff

I wouldn't mind a little more restrained cornell if the music is still good, I never liked the sound of his voice when he was screaming at those high ranges anyway, even though that's part of his artistic ability, I just never liked the sound of it
