i LOL'd at the fat girl and her man slow dancing in the front row during the solo set at the end. Also, I tried recording it on my bb, but got poor results despite being RIGHT next to the speakers in the Upper Box.

I kept looking over at these two older people in the row next to mine. Very obvious that they are symphony season ticket holders. The wife had this look on her face for the entire show that just screamed that she wishes she could be anywhere else. During Ben's solo at the end, her husband was up out of his seat, clapping along to the songs. He especially loved 'Rockin the Suburbs'. I guess he knows what its like to be male, middleclass and white

I'm sort of pissed finding out symphony season ticket holders could go. My parents have season tickets and didn't offer to share! They didn't go either.

I was stuck in the line to get into the hall right at 7:30p. And right @ 7:30 is when Ben started. I'm surprised I didn't get trampled to death.

yea i'm so used to everyone i see having opening bands.. glad we got there 10 minutes or so early.

i figured most of the older crowd was season ticket holders. granted ben folds draws a pretty diverse crowd anyway.

and i bet there were a lot of TWW spottings on row L, but i just don't know you people.

This show was the first time I've seen him with a symphony/orchestra and my first time in the front row. Ben was phenomenal as always. The beginning of the concert was a little tame but things seemed to pick up with Effington. I loved the new songs with lyrics by Nick Hornby. My favorite song of the night was One Angry Dwarf.

I've never seen Ben Folds live, even though I was in chapel hill in the mid 90's. I enjoy playing his music though, some of it is pretty easy.

it's 3/22 and 3/23. there are going to be two different set lists apparently.

i got tickets for 3/22 a couple of days ago (ben folds posted a presale link on his website), but it looks like they're sold out for both shows now on that site. tickets through that were $90 a piece after fees (!) though does ticketmaster have a presale going?

i'm going to try to get cheap sheats for 3/23. maybe.

My husband said that if Ben Folds does the same "schtick" like he always does (this will be like my 7th time seeing BF in like 5 years) then that's it. He's done w/ seeing Ben Folds

I think its the whole "ahhhh AHHHHHHHHHHH" during "Not The Same" where he has the audience help out that gets to him.

^Yeah I was already planning on selling my tickets to this show once we won our game. The start time for the game is actually 10:17 PM though, so I think instead I'll go to the concert (starts at 8:00pm) and just leave early around 9:45 and head somewhere close to catch the game.
