i like to make fun of the number of jerseys they hang (if you've ever played more than 10 minutes in a game, they'll honor your jersey), but god damn that's a lot of All-Americans. How many AAs have we had?

who gives a crap how long they played? they were both disgusting while in college and had the awards to justify being up there (stackhouse was a 1st team AA and SI POY and wallace was 2nd team AA and still holds the record for career FG% in the acc).

Stackhouse was the preseason player of the year for 94-95 from SI, I have the issue. Joe Smith was the Naismith POY and drafted #1.

he might've been preseason POY, but he was also postseason POY. naismith is an entirely different entity from SI, just like AP, sporting news, NABC and wooden all name their own POY

i didn't say it was as prestigious, and it's actually not even an accepted criteria to get up there (retired or honored). it's still not a bad award to receive though

i think the AP 1st team is more than adequate though
