there was an article several months back, where the reporter kinda led cj w/ a few questionable questions. maybe it was highschoolhoop? i can't beleive jay williams is bringing it up now.

iirc, the reporter asked about his decomittment, and if it had anything to do with the wolfpack not being a good team, and i think cj said sometihng about people coming up to him in raleigh asking him why he was going to the NCState.

Jason Williams wtf are you talking about. Why in the world would NC State fans tell CJ Leslie that he's better than NC State. Maybe some other people did, but not State fans. It's not like we haven't had our share of 5* players over the years. Hodge, Wilkins, Hickson, Fells, Costner, Brown, Harrow, and Simmons were all 5* rated recruits. Then we have had a lot of 4* players too, such as Brackman, Grant, Bennerman, Smith, McCauley, Meijia (I know he transferred but whatever), Howell, and Painter.

I was just making a case for State being a program that has recruited highly rated players before. It's not like we're some mid-major or Boston College even. If FSU and Clemson can recruit 4 and 5 star players then we should definitely be able to.

Seconded. I had to record the game and watch it last night. I heard that shit and thought the exact same thing. What a fucking idiot. Who let that clown commentate anyway? Even if he misinterpreted a quote from some story, at least think before you talk about it on the air. Why the fuck would our own fans tell him he's better than State and then ask him why he's coming? This only hurts our chances of landing him, assuming we still had any chance before the game.
