def not a Jags fan, but Deangelo is NOT better than MJD.

when Deangelo starts catching as many passes, laying down the law on LBs like Merriman, and at the least having equivalent or better rushing yards than MJD, he might be "better" than MJD.

you.

are.

WRONG.

Deangelo is worlds better than MJD.

end of story.

oh ok...i guess we'll just forget that he splits with another all-world RB and still rushes for 1, 117 yards despite missing 4 games.

oh, and the other guy...1,133.

Worlds better? Seriously. If anything they are about equal. Deangelo is faster and better outside the tackles whereas MJD is better in the middle and better in the passing game. Honestly I'd take MJD because he has proven to be healthy and can handle the load in a single back system. Deangelo has not proven that yet (not to say he couldn't).

drew never had as many (rushing) yards as deangelo had 2 years ago

actually, drew has only broken 1k yards once

[Edited on February 23, 2010 at 1:08 PM. Reason : deangelo is a pretty good receiver actually, the panthers are just terrible at using him]

deangelo averaged like 20 yards a game catching and had 250 yards receiving this year out of the backfield.

also, DWill has fumbled only 4 times in 4 years rushing teh football...MJD has fumbled 11 times.

That's a little ridiculous.

Also...MJD is a touchdown machine.

Brian Westbrook was released by the Eagles today; two washed up RBs on the market now

loosen up folks, there is a legitimate argument to trade one of the tandem if we could net a potential pro bowl player at another position, you can't keep posting "we need two running backs to make the playoffs" without thinking about the rest of the team, that argument doesn't even make sense unless you are assuming we are playoff level at every other position

I'm still in favor of keeping both of them right now because I'm kind of curious to see what kind of benefits two potential pro bowl level backs can do and because I think we do have some talent everywhere

^^ Westbrook is not nearly as washed up as LT in my opinion. Westbrook just cannot stay healthy and the concussions he suffered last year probably have the Eagles worried.

^^ right, sure there exists a trade where it would make sense

but on the whole those two make up a significant portion of our teams identity

we need them both, because without them we're not for shit on offense

this isn't madden where you can pull off these ridiculous trades people are bandying about, and this also isnt madden where if your player gets injured you can just quit the game. one of these two goes down and we're are staggeringly weaker than we were the play before.

[Edited on February 23, 2010 at 5:00 PM. Reason : and god forbid the guy we keep were to go down, that is the scenario that is most frightening. ]

I go with Chris Johnson as the first picture showed - 2000 yards in a season rushing and 197 rushing yards plus 87 receiving yards in a game.

Chris Johnson wasn't a rookie this year

Back to the topic:

LT should try to go to the Saints

1) He can still catch the ball out of the backfield
2) RB by committee suits his game now
3) He'd be going to a contender

[Edited on February 23, 2010 at 10:21 PM. Reason : 4) Reunite with Drew Breeeeeeeesssss]
