okay, i have thoroughly tested this and i'm telling you, it's happening:
if i use 20-w50 full synthetic, i have NO issues with bogging down, while if i use 5w-30 or 10w-40, the scootscoot will bog down after...10 minutes? a couple of miles?
the thinner oils give me better fuel economy (which makes sense), but the oil causes the scooter to slow itself down (goes from about 60-65mph to 45-50mph by itself with no change in throttle), though after a couple of minutes of this, the power is back
if it bothers me, i should use the 20-w50 oil, obviously...but if we assume that what i'm saying is true (because it is), i want some ideas as to WHY this is happening 6/26/2012 7:57:24 AM |

^ that's pretty interesting...it looks like some of honda's PGM-FI engines do have something similar, but they're all on the fourtrax line
perhaps my thai engine is a little different than the american 110cc PGM-FI version
thanks for that clue...i'll keep looking into it 6/26/2012 10:34:00 AM |
