^^^I mean seriously. I'm not even trying to be highly opinionated here, I honestly can't see how anyone could think Melvin's did a burger better than anyone else. The only reason I thought people ate there was closeness to NCSU and it being cheap. I didn't realize people thought the food was all that great. The last hotdog I got there was tough, even.

The original Melvin's in Elizabethtown seems to still be going strong.

Why couldn't they survive in Raleigh? A cheap basic cheeseburger seems like it would do well for college students.

Were they really failing that bad at a decent basic burger?

How did I not ever post in this thread!?!?

I became obsessed with Melvin's during one summer semester and ate the cheeseburger combo once or twice a week. There was a girl that worked there that was also in one of my classes. She always asked me if I wanted my regular order.
