a calm lab or lab/hound/beagle mix.

i had a really great dog but lost him in a divorce. i'm afraid to get a new one because i'll be pissed if its worse than the last one. an annoying barker is super annoying and i honestly fear it enough to avoid a dog all together.

As a straight up companion dog, I love a Shih Tzu.



As a family dog, our Puggle is pretty wonderful. A nice mix between fat lazy pug and playful Beagle.



And I don't think that you can beat a Rottweiler. I grew up with one and think that they're just fabulous dogs.

My parent's dog is awesome, but Dalmations overall tend to be batshit insane. I don't even know if their current dog is 100% Dalmation, seems lika a Beagle mix. Their previous dog was Dalmation and absolutely retarded.

^^When i got my dog from his previous owner, he came with his bed, which was that EXACT cat house mushed down into a bed just like that. He also hangs over the edge at least as much as that dalmation.

i prefer cocker spaniels. this was my childhood dog, magic. she died while i was in college. when i got married, i compromised with my wife and we have a springer spaniel and a border collie.
