Nah, it's not really a spoiler. I think it's the perfect place to split it.

^2 I am SO EXCITED for the Lovegood house part... I know it will be so sad but that had to be one of the best parts of the series for the sheer imagery

God I can't wait for the battle of Hogwarts.

The quote of the movie series is definitely going to be:
NOT MY DAUGHTER, YOU BITCH!

Must delivered perfect (although it will be in part 2).

I am looking fwd to seeing Prof. McConnagle (sp) get busy....

After re-reading the book, this should be a very sad and emotional movie lol (the ist part anyway) there is hardly any happy parts....BRING IT ON

Eh, some people don't care to read the books. Nothing wrong with a spoiler warning.

Rowling should have died or quit writing after the 5th book.

I read an article where they said the 2nd part of Deathly Hallows will be pretty much an action movie.

HOLY SHIT IT'S TONIGHT AND I AM SO FUCKING EXCITED.

I'm also looking forward to "NOT MY DAUGHTER, YOU BITCH!"

I might break my rule about not cheering in a movie theater.

I almost hope it sells out so that when we get there saturday night and the guys all like, "Yeah, we don't have anymore, you shoulda bought them wednesday", I can be like "HA...nobody wanted to listen to me, now i hope you all suffer"...

...although i'll be the only one suffering

I don't believe it's being offered in 3D anymore.

[Edited on November 18, 2010 at 2:06 PM. Reason : Only Part II in 3D at this point.]

I had some major issues with this movie, but talking about it now would spoil it for a lot of folks. Let's get to page 3 and then I'm going to shred this thing apart.

It won't ruin the ending, but a few things were very different that would count as a spoiler even if you've read the book.

How could it be that far off? I thought Rowling made a point for them not to cut any major details (basically the whole book) for this one?

I mean, honestly, how could it be worse than the last movie? They butchered that ending

Getting dragged out to see this later

Master tip for anyone who is constantly having to go see shitty movies with a girl: Don't say the movie sucked, the movie was gay, lame, boring, etc. That is a general complaint and will just annoy them. Instead, pay close attention the movie and be very critical of certain aspects of it; weak dialogue, major plot holes, terrible acting, etc. This gives weight to your complaints and makes it so the girl will no longer want to go the to the movies with you. Its a win/win and I highly endorse it.

^^ Truth. My fiancee is a big fan of chick flicks and christmas movies. Whenever they start airing the christmas movies on lifetime, abc family, etc she just goes nuts. I took the route of picking them apart rather then just saying they were awful and now she just prefers to watch them by herself

I'm not saying it wasn't good, I really loved this one, especially compared to HBP. There were just some things along the lines of style, cinematography, character choices, etc. that I didn't like.

^2 character choices? I would think there would be hardly any new ones considering there were hardly any characters introduced in this book (at least from what I remember)... are you referring to Luna Lovegood's dad?

Want to give some examples? I thought it was great. It's been so long since I read the book I don't remember the differences. I was glad they skipped all that time before the wedding.

And the IMAX at XR was a disappointed.

^me too...i was glad i didn't reread the book right before seeing the movie because then the differences really stand out. i enjoyed it a lot more just remembering what happened as i watched.

When Ron left and Dobby took it in the chest, fire hydrants opened up all over the theater. I was loudly fake crying to my gf's amusement.

Pretty good movie.

I'm a casual HP fan, I've seen the movies but I've only read Azkaban and Deathly Hallows once so I'm no expert on difference between book and movie

but I thought this movie was very good, way better than the last two. I don't really get the lower reviews compared to the rest of the series.

I thought it was cool how they showed the story of the deathly hallows too

I enjoyed it and thought they did a good job of being faithful to the book. It did drag a bit at the camping part (just like the book). And I thought it was strange that Harry suddenly knew how to open the horcrux when he never did it before.

They didn't explain hardly anything they did or show any of the planning stages that took up a lot of time in the book which made it seem like they just did stuff out of nowhere. But the movie would have been too long and dragged in some places if they'd done that.
