first of all, David Garrard is not a good qb.

he threw 15 TDs last year and 10 picks and had a QB rating about half that of Russell.

Look I love Wilson as much as anyone, but to say NFL veteran David Garrard wouldn't be the best college QB in the nation right now is crazy.

But yeah Wilson is absolutely a top 15 college QB.

when did we start talking about Garrard in the NCAA? It was my understanding Slave was comparing Garrard's situation in the NFL to Wilson's in the NCAA.

The fact of the matter is that Wilson has every opportunity to put himself among the elite college Qb's this season. We only have 3-4 years to evaluate college players, so these unofficial rankings are always changing dramatically. Unlike in the pros, where we know Brees, Brady and Manning will be at the top year after year. If Wilson puts put similar stats and wins 8-9 games, I'll gladly concede his spot among the best in the game. If we miss the postseason entirely or go 6-6 and he stubs his vagina again in a shit bowl game, I'll be right here to remind you how foolish your premature anointment looks now.
