my signal in charlotte has gotten worse in the last 3 months. To where it's almost unlistenable around the 277 corridor. I've never had any signal issues, even in the center of uptown. Now it skips and loses signal and even when i have good reception it takes it much longer to "acquire" the new station when i change channels now.

every morning it's just like this. Everything's fine heading down 4th st towards 277. I pass cpcc and woody's auto repair and it begins skipping. Hop on 277 and it skips the entire way to 77N until i merge onto 85N. without fail. (or with fail depending on how you view it)

I don't recall having any issues between 277/4th or 277/Kenilworth to 277/12th

stock XM on my Infiniti

never really have issues aside from under bridges, etc, but i do think the signal acquisition has gotten a little slower over the last few weeks

^^ With it being stock I doubt this is your problem, but my radio used terrestrial repeaters and the satellite (I guess it was trying to switch between the two as the repeaters were out of range). I turned off the repeater searching and it acquired the data much quicker and without loss of signal.

I have the xm + sirius and I love it. I agree with everyone who is saying that the nascar station is aweomse. Just the in car audio makes my whole xm monthly subscription worth it. The only crappy part is that for some reason you can't get the nascar station online like you can the other stations (if you pay the couple of extra bucks a month).

I kinda wish they'd leave the stations alone. I'm comfortable with where they're at now, but I guess I'll have to memorize where each one is again after tomorrow.

all my presets were updated to the new channel numbers so i didnt have to do anything

most sports channels are in the 80s, and Shade45 is actually channel 45 now

I had this same issue when I was in Charlotte last week. I figured it was just my antenna fucking up, but I guess it's good to know it's an issue with the area.

Yet another reason I am glad I don't live in Charlotte

I tried to cancel my Sirius/XM; in the end, I ended up with a new radio, 1yr/best of, 3 free months and no transfer fee for $60.

My new car has a 3-month trial of XM. I am enjoying the 80s and 90s channels, will need to track down some other worthwhile channels though.
