^^^ It's allowed. But the user didn't clearly show in his choice of wording whether he meant "be a customer of" or "treat with condescension." One was able to glean from context, however, that the user meant "be a customer of" and that he thinks highly of the restaurant.

Good food, but General Maos chicken has too much super sweet sauce for my tastes. Made me wish I had more rice to soak it up. I'll try something else next time.

^^^ My knowledge of the difference between the two terms can be traced back to an episode of Cheers where Frasier calls out Sam because he thanks the customers in the bar for their patronization instead of for their patronage.

is any of the food actually spicy?

i'm eating chinese right now and got an alleged spicy dish (with the little chile beside it, warning and all) and it does not even come close to spicy. super disappointed

You can turn any good soup into a great soup just by adding dumblings, even if you do so several days in a riw.

Goddammit, angels.

going tonight

i don't know if i'm excited or not

i guess everyone has said good things but no one is RAVING or anything. and i like spicy. i'm going to ask them to make whatever i get spicy.

i'm deciding between hunan chicken (beef on the menu, but i'd get chicken), pad thai or pho.

has anyone eaten any of these yet?? we're also gonna get some dumplings and/or summer rolls.

Pad thai is good.

I also like General Mao's chicken, the ginger garlic chicken, and the chicken lo mein.

I had the rice stick noodles and my girlfriend had the pad thai. We had the half-fried dumplings an as appetizer. Nothing to write home about. I hear the entrees on the Chef's specialty menu better represent Mao's abilities.

It's a restaurant on Hillsborough with $8 entrees.

It's not a place to take a fancy date for milksteak.

I'm an idiot. I had a meeting at Global Village today and afterward went to Waba and got disappointing Korean food. I totally could have eaten pho for lunch but forgot about this place

If you get lo mein, ask them to prepare it with sesame oil. Trust me on this one.

i had the pho. it was just ok. i mean it wasn't bad or anything but i won't get it again.

we had david's original dumplings or whatever which were DELICIOUS. will eat again.

next time i go i'm going to try something different for the main course.

^^ yea we went last night for dinner.

they had all the soups and i know pho (at least) is on the late night menu

what i thought was odd is that vietnamese spring rolls were on the late night menu but not the regular dinner menu. kinda disappointed by that. summer rolls were on the regular menu but i wanted to try the vietnamese spring rolls. i wonder if that was just a mess up?

but yea we went for dinner. next time i'm going to try something else though. not like the pho was gross it just wasn't good enough to order again. but there are a bunch of other things on the menu i want to try and the dumplings we got were really good.

^ where are you going? i mean is it in the raleigh area? i know neo china does dim sum. i can't remember the other places around here that do it though.

Nope, it's a place called "Dim Sum Restaurant" in Charlotte.

Neo China cary does do some really good dim sum. Also, i was also disappointed how some things were on the lunch menu but didn't notice that some of the lunch stuff wasn't on the dinner. Noodle place with no noodle soups for lunch =

yea that is strange. that makes no sense.

what did you eat there for lunch? was it good? or just ok like the pho? i mean would you order any of what you got again?

^^ Yeah wtf is up with that?

There's a place in Durham that does (did?) dim sum but Neo-China does it better.

they have pad thai but i'd ask them to make it spicy

the only thing marked as spicy on the menu was the hunan beef and in parentheses it said "slightly spicy"

slightly spicy? not into it. i want spicy, please.

i mean you can add your own sauce, obviously but i would like it to be MADE spicy.

If you can tell me places that legitimately listen to this request, please do. I always ask for it and pretty much never get it.

I think they are profiling me

The only downside was the creepy old lady that they sat me next to.
